Customizable to Anything Being Read, K-12
I am using this book to write reading comprehension questions for in class learning activities and for test questions for middle school English Language Arts class. These give the question stems and I can expand these on my own if I need to create multiple choice questions. These are ideal for open ended question responses or essays. This book is designed for K – 12 with for category breakdowns with a symbol so they start simple in grades K one and then The questions get harder, with the top level being high school. Of course you can pick whatever level you need to differentiate. The topics are: main idea and theme, summarizing, using text features, setting, plot, analyzing characters, analyzing text structure, point of view, figurative language, tone, and lastly, inferences. Each topic has a two page skill overview that explains briefly, the typical pitfalls a student has in suggestions for how to teach. Then there is a two page spread with a grid with more questions. Then there are student pages, one student page (worksheet) per grade range category. These are reproducible pages with a short reading passage on one page with one or two questions and the other page are question stems which could be cut out to use as strips if you want. These pages could be projected with a document camera if reducing paper is a goal.My only complaint is that the text features section with reading tables and charts it turns into math I would have just like to have seen a regular informational text which has a graphical chart to read.I’m already using a lot of these types of questions but it is I’m already using a lot of these types of questions but it is really convenient to have them written down in one place and aligned by topics validation that what I am doing is on the right track, and it is convenient to have them written down in one place and aligned by topic when designing lesson plans and writing quizzes and tests. This book is worth the price and it is a timeless resource. This is a foundation source type of book that can be used with any reading selection. Rating 5 stars = Love It.

A MUST-HAVE FOR ALL TEACHERS
I have taught middle school, high school, ESOL, SPED co-taught, and Milestones courses. I wish I'd had this a long time ago. Each section has a skill-overview and then FOUR different levels of passages with open-ended questions based on the passage. It then also includes an entire list of sentence stems that would allow for a total analysis but worded and broken down in the perfect way for each level.OMG I LOVE ITBEST. DIFFERENTIATION. EVER.

Huge Timesaver!
I love this book! This is a huge timesaver when coming up with guided reading lessons! The questions are given in two formats- all questions of the same level and same topic on one page and then in a matrix with all levels so you can see the progression and how you can push students. It's well organized and very helpful!

Good questions, just wish there was more!
Decent questions. Was expecting more workshop or partner questions and less reading material.
