Aesthetically fine but compromised outside noise attenuation.
These look good and feel very similar to the originals with similar quality "feeling" (I'll get to this) materials though the first thing I noticed on comparing them to the originals are that the ear holes in these are smaller but the overall size is larger. In terms of difference of the ear holes they're about 5mm less wide and about 3mm less tall than the ear holes on the originals.Putting these pads on was simple enough. The included tool is really useful for removing the old pads, just get the tool far enough down and under and the originals will pop off without much effort. Putting these pads on does need far more effort than putting the originals on and the originals will give you a definite click when the parts latch in. These aren't so definite but they do, with effort, fit perfectly fine.Once on my head I was surprised just how much additional external noise these new pads now let through compared to the originals. Genuinely there's little point having noise cancelling headphones if the noise can make it to your ear through the earpads. Overall, external noise attenuation with these pads is really, really poor comapred to the original pads and I suspect that's because of the foam used in the pads themelves.I've got two pars of WH-1000X M3 - one being my wife's and have done the squish test on all four original earpads and then these. I'm not going to pretend to be a foam expert but I'd say the original foam pads use "proper" memory foam as it takes a second or so to regain its original shape. When squished, these pads spring back to their original shape in about a quarter of the time which tells me they probably aren't proper memory foam (likely just foam) and that's likely also the reason their noise attenuation is so poor, since memory foam is more dense. For the external measurements:A single pad of these measures 106mm x 84mm and weighs 14grams.A single original pad measures 102mm x 78mm and weighs 15grams.So the original pad is smaller but heavier...which tells me the foam is indeed more dense and that's why the noise attenuation is compromised. You could say "Well if you're so bothered, why don't you buy some originals?" - and you're right, I am bothered, and I will be doing, if I can find some. I just thought I'd give these a go first.

These replacement pads provide excellent sound reproduction, noise cancelation and comfort
The ear pads on my Sony WH-1000XM3 needed replacing. I would usually opt for a genuine replacement, but getting the spares ear pads is difficult.I wear my headphones all the time. Every single day, for hours on end, on average, 8 hours! I use them to isolate and cancel noise, even when no music is playing. They are my most valuable personal asset. I love them! Thus, the need to replace the pads with equal or better performance was significant.I ummed and arred about buying these replacement pads. For several reasons, including comfort, isolation, and of course, sound. I looked at some competitors and opted for the SOULWIT brand. I am so pleased. In fact, ‘pleased’ is an understatement. The replacement of the old pads is straight forward. Using the provided tool, you prise the edge to lift the plastic connectors to disconnect each pad. Then, you apply the new pads and you’re done! I was nervous about snapping the connectors, but I achieved a clean replacement. Be patient, apply force, but not too much and you’ll be good. There was one downside I must report. When you remove the pad, you will see a small piece of material protecting the driver on both channels. Because of excessive use, this material was dirty and torn. But, the manufacturer does not provide this as a replacement piece — they should. Even if it adds a couple of pounds to the price. It’s an important part that could be replaced at the same time as the ear cups. Instead, I had to wash the material in soapy water, and even fix a part with some glue because the material had torn. Thankfully, all is well.Besides that, once you try the new pads, you will immediately notice how full they feel. BUT.. this memory foam, in time, flattens. That’s a good thing, as they become closer to the original ear pads. As the ear pads flatten, this results in comfort and excellent noise cancellation. But, worth noting is the size of the ear holes. The replacement pads are smaller than Sony’s, which is a shame. As a result, they might not be suitable for people with big ears. But I have small ears, so they fit well.I write this review after 8 months of use at about 8 hours a day. That equates to umm, a lot of hours! As I look at them while I write this review, I must admit, the quality is extraordinary. The memory foam has flattened, but there’s no wearing of the material. They look as good as new.I am so very pleased with this purchase. It was one of the most sensible buying decision of the year. And, if you’re in the market to extend the life of your Sony WH-1000XM3, you might want to consider these beauties.

As good as original Sony pads!
I bought a used set of Sony wh-1000xm3 headphones, absolutely mint condition, but thought I would get new ear pads for them as they felt a bit too soft and not as much of the "memory" left in the foam, albeit, still very usable.I decided to go with these ones as there's fairly good reviews and no major complaints about bad quality etc.My slight concerns were A. Would I break my headphones when trying to fit the pads , and B. Is sound quality and noise cancelling be compromised with these?First, the replacement is really easy. They provide instructions and a wee spatula to lever the plastic rim with the pad on it, out of its plastic fixings. Takes about 5min for first one and about 2min for other when you get a feel for it.Meant to say that they are pretty much identical to Sony's pads in quality, only a bit thicker with a slightly smaller interior where your ears will be. That made me a bit apprehensive as far as comfort and sound was concerned. So, I replaced one and put some music on to hear and feel the difference. Yes, there definitely seems to be a difference in that the new pad attenuates the highs but delivers a solid bass, but I was kind of expecting that anyway. The noise cancellation was slightly better with the new pad! After fitting the other one I reset the pressure for noise cancellation and didn't even change the EQ settings because I actually really like the sound I'm getting. It's impossible to know at this point how comfortable these will be for long periods but after half hour they feel fine. My ears still fit into the cups, just a bit more snug now.Overall, at this point I definitely recommend these if you need new pads. Quality is comparable to originals and, of course they change the sound but nothing that a small tweak with EQ can't fix if you don't like it. Good quality at a good price!

Ruins headphones performance
After fitting these earpads I noticed a marked difference in the sound quality and noise cancelling ability of the headphones. These earpads made the audio very bass heavy and reduced the clarity of speech. The noise cancelling performance was reduced and I was able to hear external noises that were previously eliminated. I re-ran the setup tool in the Sony app as other reviewers had suggested but this did not help.I refitted the original Sony earpads and the quality of the sound produced and noise cancelling performance of the headphones was restored. I have sent these back for a refund.

Okay, but not the same as the originals
*I use these headphones for up to 10 hours a day most days*The tool to change the earcups works perfectly, the material is comfortable and the surface material is attractive.HOWEVER! They are larger than the original cups. Mine had lost their 'spring' so I sought to replace them. These are larger in width and have a smaller hole for your ear. My ears scrape on the sides of them. They are also wider so press against more of your face, looking more like large studio headphones than commuter headphones. This doesn't look as nice and it also creates a hole between my neck and jawline which I can't imagine is helping the noise cancellation. Not awful, but only buy this if the original earpads are ruined. Mine have no major wear, but without their spring my ears were touching the inner foam layer
