Don't be fooled by the low price!
I still can't believe the price. This controller is VERY good! I've only had it for a bit over a day but so far, I'm loving it. I bought this controller after my poor Astro C40 TR broke down. Mind you, that controller is NOT cheap. It's $250 MORE than it was back when I ordered it. I was going to buy another one but am not going to spend $450 on a controller, so I tried looking for alternatives and found this one.First impressions was highly positive. The quality and build feels very much like the Xbox but with DS4 buttons. I'll list a few pros and cons.Pros:-Surprisingly good feel and quality. Feels like an Xbox controller. Even the button layout has a "curve" instead of being flat. Also like how the grips feel. They're very comfortable to hold onto.-Very nice, responsive and cute, small sticks.-Slightly heavier than the Switch Pro controller and is close to the size of it, which is perfect for people who have medium to smaller hands like I do, and really, really like the Switch Pro controller.-Dpad is pretty good, if you prefer the Switch Pro's D-pad. They both feel the same to me, though it would have been nice if the little arrow icons were on the d-pad instead of being blank.-Gyro actually works-Really like how the touch pad feels like a button you can press and works as a 'mouse' without any additional settings.-Since the touchpad is smaller than the Astro C40 TR, the Options and Share buttons feel very nice to press.Cons:-Blue ring light on the right stick's color CANNOT be changed. Only the small LED strip above the Home button can.-Troubleshooting on Steam was a hassle. DO NOT use DS4windows with this controller on Steam! It shuts the controller off after a few seconds of use and makes the controller unresponsive afterwards.-Poorly translated Instruction Booklet. I was confused on how to reset and even set the M1 to M4 buttons on the back. They do work once you map buttons to it, but I don't know if you can add macros on them. I only mapped L3 and R3 on them since pressing the sticks down on ANY controller is very uncomfortable and can break your sticks down over time.-L1/R1 buttons feel strange. They're clicky and do not press down.-It's a personal taste, but i'm not a big fan of the "3D" button icons. It would have looked better if they were colored like the DS4's, instead of white. Just know that the buttons are much smaller than the Switch Pro's as well.Over all, I highly recommend this controller to anyone who has medium/smaller hands and likes the feel of Xbox or Switch controllers, but prefer the DualShock 4's buttons. The sticks also feel much more durable and safer to flick around than the drifty DS4 and Switch pro's sticks as well. I only knocked off one star due to how annoying it was to troubleshoot with Steam and the poorly translated instruction booklet.I might actually order another one just to play Co-Op with my cousin!

A word of caution before deciding to purchase
I'd like to first and foremost address the only positive feature of this controller; the comfortability and design is pleasing for a third party controller. It doesn't feel cheap, or lacking in fine craftsmanship. This can be held in your hands for several hours before the slightest sign of discomfort, if any is present. However, this is the only positive aspect i can give it. I am reviewing this after my second copy since November of last year, which unfortunately brings the issue of quality. You need to be very careful when taking a chance of a purchase. Perhaps i was unlucky, both of my copies were faulty on arrival to a degree. Analog sticks possessing a very noticeable delay when playing an FPS, in my case drifting in less than two weeks. You are not receiving quality in the form of function. The touchpad also likes to not work properly at times it chooses to. it won't swipe nor register any input you attempt to give it if you somehow allow it to idle. For the fighting game enthusiasts whom feel this will be a suitable d-pad for usage, i suggest you look elsewhere, this d-pad is atrocious for the genre. the pad itself is far too small you'll find yourself missing quarter circles or any motions which involves complex full 360 degree input, or half circles, etcetera. My d-pad on both controllers contained dead zones where i simply could not use the area due to the d-pad not functioning. this is clear quality control which is clearly something which needs to be pointed out if one is willing to shell thirty dollars. I expected more from GCHT considering they have designed peripherals for other brands // motherboards. It seems the other reviewers here don't necessarily play the genres which require finesse accuracy or precise inputs in their gaming. Perhaps casually (if you happen to score a working controller.) this can be passable, I wouldn't consider in the slightest to use this competitively, the back buttons will not help mitigate this issue when you consider the clearly obvious latency both wired and wireless. I suppose the turbo function is nice, there are three options, but not being able to place them on the L2 // R2 is a deal breaker. i am aware you could simply change button settings in your game, but having to do so shouldn't have to be a necessity if the game you play uses L2 / R2 predominantly. There is a clear lack of communication with the seller themselves, i myself have tried contacting them a second time for a second failure of a controller, they will not communicate with you if you happen to receive a faulty controller. Basically, you are taking a risk with your choice.I cannot recommend this in the slightest, less than mediocre analog sticks, a terrible d-pad for complex genres of games, motion controlling being questionable, may i add the audio port for speakers // headphone usage being atrocious?Look elsewhere, there are far more better options of third party choices, or purchase the genuine dual shock and save yourself the trouble.
