SteelSeries Rival 300 CS:GO Hyper Beast Edition Gaming Mouse

This an amazing minimalist gaming mouse. Perfect for people with big palms and long fingers. For a hardcore gamer of 14 years this mouse is beyond adequate for high level performance.I have found the only mouse close enough to this is the razer Deatheradder but without the weight that this mouse carries.I have used the following gaming mice:-Corsair M60CONS: wide but not long enough. Not enough dpi control.PROS: Wide base allows for comfortable finger position.-Razer DeathadderPROS: Perfect size, solid Dpi control,CONS: Not heavy enough-Steelseries Rival 500CONS: fingertips in claw position sit past the mouse clicks and thumb is too long for side button positioning. Dpi settings only accept whole round numbers I. Excellent product, super smooth action and comes with a wide variety of drivers for many personalization.Using it specifically for online gaming and it's absolutely the best mouse I've ever used. The steel insides produce an excellent smooth rolling action and I'm sure will outlast any mouse in the market.Graphics are really well put together and size of mouse fits perfectly into your palm. Great mouse. My only complaints are that the sensitivity button on the top is a bit too large and (fittingly) sensitive, so it's easy to poke on accident if you're in a tense shootout or fight or whatever in a competitive game. The side thumb buttons are also a bit too large. Otherwise, it's a solid mouse.

I have previously owned a Steel Series Rival prior to the addition of the numbers (300, 700, etc.) in the product title. I loved the old Rival and decided why not try out this hyper beast themed mouse to replace it. Unfortunately, this themed mouse is total butt. The graphic portion does not have the rubberized feel of the previous Rival, which I do not prefer, but was okay with going into the purchase. The real area where this mouse earns its one star is the quality of the clicking action. Both the left and right click have no definition in the action. When you click there isn't that positive stiffness before the button breaks like on the trigger of a gun. For me, that is unacceptable. When you invert the mouse you can even physically feel the spongy mushiness of the button. Also, there is a difference in weight between this mouse and my original Rival. Nothing I couldn't get over if it weren't for the previous mentioned issue, but I figured if you have stuck with my review this far, you deserve to know that as well. Sadly I am returning this Hyper Beast without ever having played a game due to the quality issues. You can do better than this Steel Series!!!

I like to keep it simple. If your looking for a gaming mouse that's comfortable for right hand users, zero acceleration and super accurate...this is the mouse for you. 2 Dpi modes, one for normal and other for when you that extra dpi like inside a tank, buttons are tactile, clicky and responsive. Steel Series Engine 3 is easy to use and program mouse, firmware updates and on board memory. RGB lighting for the mouse for customization, I personally like the Gunmetal version. Also, glides well with the installed mouse feet, currently using the basic steel series gaming qck gaming mouse pad.Best feature: ComfortWorst feature: would have like the grey to be darker, lol.

I do not game but wanted a high quality mouse for regular computer use and internet browsing. The Rival 300 fits this bill very nicely and is a good fit for my large hand. It glides smoothly and seems to function well in every way. I was especially concerned with the scroll wheel working easily and effectively which it does. The lighting effects are also fun and can be modified with the software downloaded from the SteelSeries website. This software is simple, effective and easy to use. I highly recommend the mouse.

I use this mouse along with a logitech MX master which I use for more productive tasks such as excel and adobe-word documents. The steelseries mouse is great for games with accurate clicking and motion tracking while being very light. It's great for casual browsing and computer usage as well due to it's lightness and ergonomic shape which reduces fatigue. I was developing ulnar tunnel but have since solved my problems after investing in ergonomic mice and an extended mouse mat that I use as an arm rest on my L desk.

The mouse is undoubtedly good and has a great response as well. The USB pin is not good as per the mouse is priced. It is loose most of the times and needs to be adjusted a few times to make it work.

Despite being marketed as a gaming mouse, I found it to be most ergonomic mouse for large hands. Been using it since 2017 and apart from the rubber wearing our it still works.In 2024 I had faced scroll wheel issues but I am happy that it lasted for 5+ years so I can vouch for its durability. It's truly a shame that Steel Series chose to discontinue the product.

This mouse seems to work perfectly for what I need. I play Counter Strike Global Offensive at a competitive level, and after using a old crappy mouse for many years, I found switching to this one took me nearly two weeks but it eventually fit nicely, I have larger hands, but they’re fat not long. This mouse is great for long hands, but short and fat like mine will take some getting used to. Once in a while when I move my mouse, my crosshairs in counterstrike will aim straight to the ground for a second, which is annoying but very uncommon. All in all, a fantastic mouse!

+ pc gamer 15 years, owned a dozen gaming mice in my time, this is best one yet.+great software- old sensai mouse had nice braided cable, but the scroll wheel sucked donkeys ass- Whats the point of logo changing color to indicate stuff in games, when my fuking handcovers the logo and i'm looking at the screen anyway?- Cheaper Rival might just be as good, but dont have one so dont know.
