Artist's honest review: This is a lightweight circle maker/template. It works and rotates to make circles -exterior 5 3/4 inches and largest interior is 4 inches. I used a sharp HB graphite pencil to make the circles. I had no problem rotating the template. If you are 'heavy handed' you may find it a bit difficult due to the pressure you are applying as well as the substrate you are using. I used Strathmore 400 H2O paper as well as 184lb Mixed Media Paper and I had no hang ups . I did take one star off because of color choice. As an Artist gray (it is not silver, it is gray) not my first choice and was hoping for the Green/Teal color. Color choice would make this a 5 star review.

I really like the versatility of applications this template can be used for, from drawing Mandalas to making circles to turn into Christmas ornaments made of craft paper. It's a tool to feed the imagination. It is also well made and sturdy, an fits in the pocket of a purse or the one on the side of my colored pancil case, or my little crafting toolbox.

It seemed like it would be a great product for making circles for mandalas quickly and easily instead of using my adjustable compass. Unfortunately the piece that holds the inner circle and allows it to spin is broken and trying to draw a circle was virtually impossible. I will be looking for an exchange or a refund. I don't know if this is a common issue and it's not expensive, but still unusable.Update: replaced with a second one which is just as big a piece of garbage… The circle does not move freely. It has ruined several of my drawings already as I’ve tried to move the circle around and have gotten stuck halfway or less several times. Useless
