This inexpensive book is exactly what I needto begin work on my “memoir” book without cumbersome YouTube videos, workshops, seminars, etc to learn and get me started using the software. The best $2.99 I have spent in a long while. Bravo!!

Says it’s for beginners, but it reads like you have a good amount of knowledge of Indesign. I expected definitions of the language used. , I thought it would give instructions on how to start a basic document. It started out explaining what is new about the latest Indesign release. If you are a beginner, why do you need to know this? Then it went into a looong explanation of using the library. If you are a beginner, do not buy.

This book is not for the InDesign newbie. Was well above my head and not useful for learning the program. If you know InDesign, and want to learn advanced properties of the software, this might be the book for you.

Poorly organized and written, with too many typos. I should have known not to get it when I noted that the back cover repeated the same paragraph. I had hoped the content would be helpful, but it is does not deliver what the title promised.

This is not a book 'for beginners'. The title's small print is the clue: 'A quick reference guide to boost your book and magazine design skills ...' So it is for people who are already familiar with InDesign and want to 'boost their skills'. I wouldn't call them 'beginners'. If - like me - you want a book about Adobe InDesign for beginners, this is not for you. I put my copy straight back in the packaging and will be returning it for a refund tomorrow.
