Q: Is this made in China?

Mine has a tag on it stating it is, I'm pretty disappointed to be honest as I was under the impression it was made in the USA and carried a lifetime warranty. The leash appears to be great quality but it does have made in China & multiple papers that say limited one year warranty with it.

Q: What is the pull strength of the Sierra leash?

The leash is made of climbing rope and a carabiner - both are meant to carry a human's weight. Generally climbing rope and carabiners that size can withstand about 3000lbs of pressure

Q: How thick is the rope?

It's kernmattle rope, it's designed for climbing. It's rated for 2700lbs, you'd need a really big dog to snap the rope.

Q: How heavy is the clip part?

By "heavy" I am assuming you mean "study and reliable." If this is what you mean, it is VERY sturdy and VERY reliable. My dog is a pit bull mix weighing 68 pounds, and she has enormous strength. She hash pulled on conventional leashes to the point where the clip portion has stretched and the leash has come off -- a truly heart-stopping experience. However, this clip is WONDERFUL. I always check that it's closed in place before I take her out, and it has NEVER FAILED me. If, by "heavy" you are actually referring to its weight, it's not really heavy and the dog doesn't feel weighted down by it at all. I hope this is helpful.
