Thor: The Dark World Junior Novel: With 8 Pages of Photos From The Movie! (Marvel Junior Novel (eBook))

I bought this book for my daughter and she thinks it goes great with the movie. Comes with two free bookmarks as well. My daughter read this so quickly on that same day we got this book delivered to our house.

This was an OK book. It wasn't spectacular and the verbiage was what one would expect from a book aimed at children. There were a few clunky phrases and it lacked some descriptive detail that would have been helpful. It did have some interesting information that explained some things that were not seen or evident in the movie. It described a couple of deleted scenes from the movie.There were some nice pictures in the middle of the book, but I think they should have been at the end because some of them spoiled some of the upcoming scenes that had not yet happened.There were some deviations from the plot of the movie; in particular a major character death was omitted. The scene of Loki being brought in for trial was left out, but I believe that was because that scene was added to the movie after the book was written. It also seemed to end very abruptly after the initial Dark Elf attack. I was under the mistaken impression that this would cover the entire movie and was disappointed when the book just ended where it did.Other than that, it was an interesting read.

*warning - movie spoilers in my review*This story is NOT the complete movie version. It tells the tale but ends with Frigga being rescued from Malekith and Kurse instead of dying...and the story basically ends quite quickly with Thor going off to save the universe. It does not cover Loki's death nor any of the events that happen when Thor pursues Malekith. I was a bit disappointed. On the positive side, it does include color pictures of some of the scenes in the movies, and two bookmarks...one of Thor and one of Loki. I just wish I had looked at it in a bookstore ahead of time...I wouldn't have bought it if I had seen that it didn't include the whole story.

I bought this as a gift for my grandson, aged 6, but an avid reader. He loved it and read it to his dad. It is a great gift for those kids interested in super-heroes. I would recommend it for good to average readers aged 7-11. Plus, it has pictures for the movie tie-in.

I thought this was the whole book, while it is not. It is only about 1/4 of it only going up to SPOILER when Thor strikes Malekith with lightning from Mjolnir in the face. I am currently looking for the full movie novelization but am having no luck in finding it. A plus however, the book does come with two bookmarks included one of Thor, and one of Loki which was nice as I did not know this.

I thought this was the whole Thor the Dark Worlds book while it is only ¼ of th movie. It was good but if you are looking for the whole movie-book by the movie story book not this.

Looking forward to seeing more of Thor. Love the story line and am a great fan of Thor now

This "book" doesn't even feature the complete movie's story...it stops about halfway through with the line...."...but that's another stroy..."Lame....

Awesome fun even though some of the scenes are played out differently and some scenes are missing although! I'm miffed my free book marks are missing, though

Would not recommend book arrived damaged and ripped pages half cover gone nearly from damage its a tatty mess
