The wooden puzzle is colorful and pieces fit together easily for a three year old. The snail is super cute when assembled. The child for whom I bought it can sing her ABC's and count to 20 easily. But since the pieces have numbers on one side and letters on the other, it was somewhat confusing for her to know which side to look on to find a puzzle piece. For example, the "1" and the "I" looked identical. Her siblings, age 6 and 8, could easily figure it out, but kids that age don't need an alphabet/number puzzle. So it was great for a 3 year old and a 6 year old to work on it together, but it was frustrating for the little one by herself.

Interesting puzzle, different than your typical puzzles. I like that one side has alphabet and the other side has numbers. My 2 year old immediately recognized the snail shape and became interested. Although she lost interest rather quickly, mostly because it's probably still a little too difficult to play, she still enjoyed watching me. A nice toy for her to enjoy more in the years to come.

I purchased and shipped this gift to my granddaughter for her 4th birthday. Her mother shared that she felt that this puzzle is of quality, well made and colorful, but might be a little.... advanced for a 4 year old to piece together without the assistance from a parent or older sibling. With practice a 4 year old could possibly learn to put this snail puzzle together on their own. It's definitely a fun family project to work on together. No regrets with this purchase. She'll grow it to.

This is so cute. I love that it's double sided with numbers on one side and the alphabet on the other. My son would start counting from the beginning each time to figure out what came next. I loved this because repetition is learning!

My daughter was playing with it while showering and obviously it got wet. It’s not actual wood. It started peeling and became very soft and mushy. Waste of money

I bought snail and train puzzle together but they don’t send the whole picture of puzzle so that you can follow

This is a really great puzzle. My kids love it. It is kind of challenging to put together, but thats the way they learn!

This educational toy kept my grandson busy for quite a while.
