DF10-100 Flip It Universal Tub Stopper Chrome Lated, Assorted O Rings

This thing worked like a charm, I have had it in use for 3 months with no problems. It stops the water just fine no water leaking by or anything like that. It was real easy to install, now hair will get in drain just like any other stopper so when you take it out just take it easy because it it made of plastic after all.I think it was priced well and it worked for me so I would recommend it just make sure you take a look a the dimensions so you know if it will your drain.

I had my eye on potential stoppers for a while now and this seems like the best design I came across.It fits well into my 1 5/8ths tub drain and kept the water in place during my test.It uses two identical O-Rings to bridge the gap between the tub drain and the plastic and they provide 2 of 5 different O-Ring sizes. The biggest one is the one I had to use.It is designed to stay in the drain at all times (you do not remove it to let the water out).Except for the O-Rings and the spring, the stopper is all plastic and the seal that keeps water from going down the drain is hard plastic against hard plastic and I have trouble seeing it keeping a good seal long term, but it did work for the 1 time I used it, long enough for my kids to take their baths. It seems like there should be a piece of replaceable rubber involved there.One annoyance: the kids kept accidentally opening the drain and asking me to close it again as they could not do so themselves.The biggest problem tho, is that the top comes off so easily which allowed the spring to promptly go down the drain with the water that was in the tub at the time.I picked up a replacement spring at TrueValue for 75 cents and after I cut it in half, it works well. Until I realized that I did not think of making sure that the spring was rust proof... oh well.I wound up using this instead:  LDR 501 4130 1-5/8-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Rubber Sink Stopper  and that is working very well.

I would have gladly paid several times what this little gadget costs because it does the job perfectly. It's a steal for this price! We bought a 40 year old home and the stopper mechanism in the master bath was corroded out so there was just a gaping hole. We thought the only option was one of those big ugly leaky rubber stoppers until we came across this. We started out with the largest set of o-rings (you get 5 different sizes to find the right fit for your tub) and found those to be perfect so we literally spent all of 3 minutes installing this. It seemed to seal well, but we tested it by filling the tub at about 8 PM and leaving it overnight. The next morning...viola! A tub full of water! An the lever is so simple to use, my 3 year old has no problem with it. If you're debating this purchase and you're currently using the ugly rubber stopper...BUY THIS!!

I have purchased two of thi item and each time when you try to pull out to clean the hair clogging drainage, the top comes off and the little spring goes down the drain, overall I love this item I am ready to buy it for the third time BUT I belive if you able to supply so many rubber gaskets you should throw a couple of springs, I cannot be the only one having this problem, tried using cheap ballpoint pens but the spring is not the correct size.Before I buy another one since this one I purchased last was October 5th, maybe you will sende me a few springs instead.I would love to give you a 5 star rating because the product is very cool except for the spring or the top popping out instead of the whole plug.

This is the second of these I've purchased. I can't remember where I got the last one but it lasted me over 18 years before it finally broke. They are easy to install and serve as a drain screen too for hair and other yucky materials. I will recommend that you don't put the larges possible O ring on it, for a super tight fit, you don't need it to be that tight to hold water in your tub, and that's how I broke the last one that I had for 18 years, by tugging to get it out to clean it. I had the largest O rings in it. This time I used a smaller O ring and it still works fine but slips in and out with out any real effort. This is deffinitely a product worth your time. Highly recommended.

Easy to install, select the correct size of gaskets and slip it in using some soap or conditioner as lubricant. But it needs to be cleaned of hair and other buildup frequently which required removing. Upon removing the nice pretty shiny part can come off and cause you to loose the spring that makes it work down the drain. Ordered a second one only to have it show up used, with blue goo all over it, gasket bag opened, two different sized gaskets on it, and not fully sealing off the tub. Definitely not worth the price. I'll get a simple rubber stopper instead.

I purchased this stopper to use at the apartment complex where I work. I=couldn't use it becasue there was an old drain apparatus that kept it from going down in the pipe. I brought it home and used it in my spare bathroom and I love how it works! Easy to install, holds the water with no leaks and with a flip, the tub drains. It works great!

I was so happy when I easily found the correct size O rings for this & it worked perfectly for my daughter's baths. Unfortunately, after exactly 1 week it broke. The "metal" flip switch stopped doing anything at all & the plastic parts fell out. Now I have to buy another stopper for much cheaper (that will probably work better.)Great concept & looks nice, but needs to be constructed better. :(
