Good brushes for a Good Price
As you would expect from Winsor & Newton, these brushes are first class. The round brushes hold a decent amount of water and all come to a nice point. The Largest is just big enough for larger areas of your painting,, and the small, number 1 round is great for fine details. The flat brush can wet a large area, or help you make a really fine straight line. The handles are a bit short, but are just long enough to fit your hand nicely. The bristles are springy without being hard. They hold their shape nicely, and bounce back after pressing on them. All in all, I like these. I think they are a quality brush for the price. If I only ever had these brushes to paint with, I'd be happy. They aren't the best brushes out there, they are good brushes for a wide variety of painting styles. Buy them, you wont be disappointed.

Very Nice
In my opinion these brushes are high quality for a fair price. I have painted with them several times so far. I enjoyed painting with them. They handled the watercolors well and behaved exactly as I expected a high quality brush to behave. I am familiar with brush care. With proper use and cleaning they have perfectly maintained their shape. For an occasional painter looking for professional results or an art student, I would recommend these.Personally I am not a professional artist painting prolifically. I am an intermediate artist painting for the joy of it. I enjoy painting cards for friends and family. I purchased this set of brushes since, for now, life is no longer too hectic to make time for art. I chose these particular brushes because I remembered Winsor and Newton as a good brand with a long history of quality from the days when I used to spend a lot more time on art. I am very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful brushes with DEHP warning
They look like high quality brushes for the price. I bought these for my 11 year old who recently became interested in water colour painting. I have not given them to him due to the warning on the back; “This product contains chemicals, including DEHP, known to the State of California to cause Cancer and Birth Defects (or other reproductive harm). In the process of looking for natural wood or other brushes.

Excellent brushes for the price
Excellent brushes for the price. Love that it comes with little plastic covers since my area is a bit dusty and this keeps them nice and clean. I know that wood brushes means the paint will start to chip etc but that comes with the territory. I use these to do watercolors and they are much nicer than similarly priced products from other brands (generally all synthetic and with a cheaper feel and outcome).

Best water color brushes I have used ever!
This set was a gift to me and I adore it, no loose or wild bristles, good hard enamel on the handles, they hold their shape ever after some abuse, so just like their paint, these are great. If theirs a downside I would say the handles are short if your doing a large piece and need to be away from it, but I do small pieces so its perfect for me...

So so
I bought these brushes for the reviews, but in reality it is better to buy only one of a better quality. they are not very versatile, the hairs open. now I'm going to have to buy something of better quality. If you are a beginner like me, I recommend buying a single brush but of better quality. These demotivated me a lot.

Great quality brushes for reasonable prices.
I'm very pleased with the quality and performance of these reasonably priced watercolor brushes! So far the round brushes are holding their points well. If I could change only one thing, I would make the handles a little bit longer so they would fit better in my brush holder.

These are professional, soft, and last a long time.
These brushes are wonderful. They are extremely soft and professional grade. I can let watercolor paint dry on these brushes, re-wet them, and have perfectly clean, perfectly usable brushes. My only pseudo-complaint is the length of the handles. They are standard craft length, but I would be interested in trying out these brushes with extended handles. The counterweight of a longer brush may add interesting depth and mechanics to the painting. But they are also wonderful as is. These will last a long time. Definitely worth the money!

These are really nice brushes.
I know that these are the cheaper version (series 7 if you want professional quality), but they really are very nice to paint with. Bristles are hard enough, but soft (of that makes sense), I haven't noticed one bristle coming out yet, they work well with acrylic (and apparently watercolour), and feel good in the hand. So, definitely no complaints.

Great starter kit
These are really good brushes. I would have gone for something a little more high end if I had the budget. Saying that these were perfect for a new medium I was learning. The only downside is that the silver section which holds the hairs turns slightly loose over time

Good Quality
These are good quality student level brushes. There is a nice assortment of sizes, and I haven't experienced any loose hairs yet that you sometimes get with cheaper brushes. If your looking for a starter set to get you going then these are perfect.

I particularly like the short handles
Nice little set of brushes. I particularly like the short handles as I bought them for my 8 year old granddaughter who is just branching out into watercolour techniques. I would have liked to have seen a nice fat wash brush with the set but that is my only complaint. Good value for money I would say too.
