Grandson was having gas stolen out if truck gas tank, put a stop to that.

Perfect fit and the locking mechanism works flawlessly. Got it in a couple of days with Prime. With the price of gas on the rise this is a must have item.

Bottom line is Motorad does a very poor job of trying to let you know which gas cap fits your automobile. These guys are doing a very poor job of this. I double checked my order several times before I placed it on Amazon.com and even went to Motorad website and used their very own catalog to look up my auto to make sure I was ordering the correct gas cap part for my auto and still when I got the part ordered in, DID NOT FIT at all, no where close. And if you notice other Motorad reviews many others have had the same problem. I cannot say how good or bad the actual product is because well I never got to use it but this is ridiculous when a company does not even know what their own products will or will not fit correctly on. No excuses for that. I went and got a Stant at Wally World for same price and it fits no problems first time and no hassles.

Took a bit to figure out how it works. Cap must be placed on filler neck. Holding the cap with one hand so it does not move you then lock the cap using the key. Remove the key and then turn the cap clockwise a full turn. Check to see if it locked by turning counter clockwise. Repeat if it did not work.

The main bonus for this gas cap was that it was $10.73, when every other auto store quoted me $20 for one (or higher, believe it or not). It does exactly what it's supposed to. However there are no instructions in the box about how to operate it and I couldn't figure it out, so i had my dad take a look at it and he figured out how to use it, I'll do my best to give you these instructions. First, put cap on opening of gas tank like normal. then twist clockwise. To lock hold the cap still with the raised bridge vertical, use key to turn key slot horizontal while bridge is still vertical. After this it will spin but is locked and will not open. To unlock simply hold cap still again and use key to turn slot back to vertical with the bridge and turn counterclockwise to remove cap. I hope I helped someone who couldn't figure this out, because I sure had trouble with it til my daddy figured it out. Maybe I'm just dumb, but somebody out there will need to know how to work it, lol. As far as the quality it seems to be fairly sturdy and not a too-cheaply-made item. For those who cant afford the 20 dollar caps (and even those that just wanna save money), I definitely recommend this to you!
