bareMinerals ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation with Click, Lock, Go Sifter - Golden Dark

I had bareMinerals recommended to me a few years ago by a friend. I was hesitant at first because of the price, but decided to go ahead and buy the starter kit. Once I got it, I thought to myself that there was no way this powder foundation was going to work as well as a liquid foundation in making my skin tone even and cover up blemishes. My gripe about liquid foundations has always been uneven covereage and the smell. While this powder has no smell to it, I figured it wouldn't work that well. I was wrong, I couldn't believe how well and even it covered my skin. And it lasts all day! I once had an embarrassing pimple on my eyelid (EWWW!) and figured there was no way I would cover that up. Well, the foundation worked great, along with bareMinerals cover-up. And what's better, is you don't get that gross "skin" coverage that liquid foundations and liquid cover-ups seem to give you when trying to cover blemishes). I've been a fan of bareMinerals products now for a few years and love how nice my skin is since using these products. I rarely get pimples anymore as it seems to take care of my face and allows it to breathe. I've beem recommending their products to other women now.

I first bought BareMinerals Original from Sephora at my local shopping center and fell in love with it, it doesn't cake and it covers flawlessly with not a lot of shine but just enough compared to the matte finish they have available. BUT, when I ordered this from amazon I was excited to be able to get it discounted being that it is an expensive brand of make up but when I did receive this I was confused when I first put it on and it didn't set or even look the same on my skin. I still had some left from the product I purchased at Sephora and removed what I had on and reapplied the Sephora bought BareMinerals Original and it was flawless as always. sooo.... my concerns are high as to if this is an off brand re-make or what, but these two products SHOULD be the same right!? So, why do they look completely different on my face, even the color tone is a little off. That is my experience so beware to everyone else who might have tried this and hated it, it might just be because it is not entirely the original BareMinerals product and to those who are thinking of purchasing.

Before i had found this foundation I always was on the hunt for something light and natural. I don't like people to "know" i am wearing makeup. This product covers wonderfully and hides imperfections. I might to a re-apply later in the day unless i paired it with the mineral veil which will help it wear longer. Very little is needed for coverage which helps this last longer also. I always feel like i am wearing nothing with this foundation and have had fewer clogged pores since i started to use it. It also doesn't cake up in the heat when sweating. I hated when you could see someone makeup and the sweat rivers through it. I used to pay full price at the store. Anything less the $20 is a steal in my book.

Light and even coverage. I have fair skin that shows every blemish, vein, freckle, and S foundation gives great coverage, yet is very light.

I bought my first jar of bareMinerals from Sephora and LOVED it. When I ran out I found it here on Amazon for less and jumped at the chance to buy my favorite foundation inexpensively.I've been using this one for about two months now and was absolutely stumped by the fact that my skin began breaking out. I'd try to cover up the pimples with the bareMinerals but to no avail. Then this morning I let my mother borrow the bareMinerals. She commented that it seemed slightly different from the jar I had before so I got the old, empty jar and compared it side-by-side to the new one.THEY ARE MARKEDLY DIFFERENT. THIS IS NOT BAREMINERALS. I did some follow up research and confirmed that counterfeit products are indeed out there. The counterfeit powder is even a slightly different shade.I hope people see this review and avoid breakout calamity! I wish I'd figured it out sooner.
