I didn't take a star off like I almost did, because the watch itself is really good. Unfortunately, they sold me a used or returned watch and called it new. The main issue with that is when it's actually new, you need to remove a plastic tab to make battery start up. They do that because it extends battery life. This watch was next to the plastic holder in the box, not on it, rattling around the box with watch already running. So I'll need a battery much sooner, and I hope it's not damaged from the watch being loose in its box. I might keep it, or I might get my money back and buy it directly from timex website instead of Amazon. Amazon's price is way better, but then, it's not really new, so 🤮. I hope whoever had it first wasn't dirty or otherwise gross. The watch itself is nice. I was afraid it would look huge and manly, but it's not at all that way. Mine has dark brown leather and the black fabric strip in middle of strap part. The face is just big enough to read really easily. It definitely doesn't look manly at all. I love how it looks. The strap is nice, but in warm weather, my wrists and hands have a tendency to swell in heat, so I have to adjust the fit more often. Not a deal breaker, of course. But it's very comfy. I can wear it all the time (will take off to shower or swim), including wearing it to bed. I take meds, sometimes over night. I need to know the time, so I stay on schedule, and I don't want to turn on a bright light. The indiglo (I think that's the name) is great. Just enough light to see what I need to, clearly, but not blindingly bright. I also like how durable it's supposed to be. From now on, I'm sticking with timex for the durability, quality, and features. I'm replacing a very basic, cheapo casio. It was fine. Probably would have kept, but it didn't light up at all, and I discovered that was a very important feature for me. So, I wish they would give buyers the choice to buy used if wanted, and save brand new, not-worn or used, items for those who want and pay for new. TL/DR: was used or returned and had battery already running. A really nice watch with good features. Easy to read, and the light up feature is awesome. Great watch overall. If ordering it, you might want to let them know, if it's important to you, you don't want it to be used. Other than that one issue I love the watch and recommend it

I only received my watch 2 days ago so I can only comment on the appearance: The face is clean and easy to read - no date which I prefer. The face of the watch I received is a little darker than the "off white" of the picture. I would describe the color as light beige. Size given is correct (26mm) about the size of a quarter. The case is metal and is a good weight - not too heavy for comfort, but no so light it slides around on your wrist. The hands are not luminous - the face of the watch lights up when you press the stem. I really find this feature very handy. It is an attractive casual watch. Just what I wanted. I would have given 5 stars but I don't like the band and I'm looking for a replacement. It is identified as "leather" but it's cheap leather and it's stiff. A dark brown which goes well with the face, but I don't like the fabric inserts and the stitching is a strange sort of light orange, however, it's all a matter of taste. Also the band is way too long for my small wrist another reason I'm checking out "short" bands. Over all I'm pleased and the price was extremely reasonable. This is my first Timex so I hope I got a reliable one and will check in later to give a short review. Sadly had to return this watch as it was erratic about keeping time! BUT after looking at many other watches and not being able to find one that was "just what I wanted" AND a reasonable price, and the right size for my small wrist - I ordered another! Hopefully this one will be relliable. I JUST ADDED A FIFTH STAR. I BOUGHT THIS WATCH IN NOV 2017 IT'S NOW JAN 2019 AND IT'S TICKING AWAY PERFECTLY. I LOVE MY WATCH IT'S ATTRACTIVE, AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE, AND DURABLE I WEAR IT EVERY DAY! WHAT A GREAT BUY.

I've had this watch a few months and really like it. It is very comfortable to wear and appears to have a solid build, not flimsy and cheap like some other watches at this price point. I wanted something for everyday wear that looked nice for work and casual but wasn't expensive so if it was damaged, it wasn't a big deal. The face is easy to read and is about the size of a quarter. The Indiglo feature works well and is very bright and easy to read in the dark. The watch hands are also luminous. It does NOT have a date feature but honestly, I didn't want it. Its not loud - you can hear the watch ticking only if you put it near your ear. I normally have metal watch bands so I wasn't sure I would like the leather and fabric band on this watch but I do - it is very comfortable. I have 6.5" wrists and there is room to adjust the band smaller or larger and the extra band fits in a second loop which can be moved but stays put once you adjust. I haven't really tested the water resistance other than a few splashes and briefly submerging it once. Overall, I'm very happy with this watch and would buy it again.

I love this watch! It’s sleek, beautiful, and made of high quality material. The leather band won’t irritate your skin like some metals do, and it’s just the right size and color to go with any outfit. It even lights up so you can see the time in the dark! My only complaint is that the crown on the side seems to get jostled easily, making the watch stop. It’s easy to reset and push back in, but slightly annoying if you work with your hands a lot. Overall, it’s a great value for the price!

Mom loves it, lasts maybe a year ... but still good for the price.

I bought this watch for a 7 month trip outside the country. It's a great watch. The leather and linen strap is very nice, and the glow in the dark feature was helpful at night.

Purchased as a gift for my friend. She loves the watch! I have quite a collection of various watches...Swiss, Japanese, American, English, German...but I really have a great liking for Timex watches. They're accurate and dependable and tough! They're also very reasonably priced....I believe Timex has been making watches since 1852!

I love it! It can so quickly and it’s a beautiful watch that is not bulky at all. I didn’t want a watch with a huge face or strap. It also comes with a lifetime warranty that you can register for by scanning the packaging.

I was looking for a watch to take on a riding safari. This watch seems to be exactly what I was hoping for: -Small enough for a slim female wrist -Green /khaki colouring -Waterproof -Analogue -Luminous hands (plus backlit screen at the touch of a button) -Not so insanely expensive that I’m going to worry about it all holiday I’m going to an area with patchy electricity so realised I would need to leave my usual Apple Watch behind, and go back to a low-fi model for this trip. It needs to be rugged too - and work with a “1923” style vintage safari look! First impressions: Light, easy and comfortable on the wrist. The colours are great. It feels really well made. There are plenty of holes in the wristband. I also appreciate having the two leather keepers - if you have a slim wrist, you don’t need to have the loose end flapping around, which can be so annoying otherwise. The backlight is very easy to use - just push on the side button and the screen lights up for as long as you keep pressing. Impressively thoughtful design for something so small. It’s like they read my mind! It was slightly more expensive than I had hoped for, but I’ve ended up with something much nicer than planned. Mainly, I’m just relieved to have found a decent, practical watch which is up to the job I need it for, and noter stylish too. Too many ladies’ watches are just - way too girly. And the military-style men’s ones are all too big for me. Whereas this little watch is: pretty much perfect! Thank you, Timex!

Very good watch. I anticipate times of “off-the-grid” living and this watch is good stand-in for the Apple Watch.
