The at pro has a bit of a learning curve. But I love it

I liked the ease of assembling and well written direction booklet. I tried it out in my yard and got a lot of hits right away. I live in the country in Minnesota and built our house in 1980. I'm sure most of the hits are rusty nails and metal from when the house was built. Once the ground has thawed out I'll be checking a few of the hits out. My Granddaughter is the one that really got me interested in buying a metal detector, and after many hours of checking different metal detectors on the internet in the price range we could afford, we chose the Garrett AT Pro w/ a Pro-Pointer. Also got the Garrett carry bag to keep every thing together. I,m sure we will be spending many hours enjoying our purchase.

Item received was faulty as the LED screen did not light up all areas which meant it was not usable for what it was intended. It also came with batteries pre installed which was very unusual as you normally install batteries once you receive an item. We were very disappointed and had to be returned for refund... Which we have still not yet got.

Gift for my 11 year old son, a step or 10 up from his old metal detector, works extremely well, lots more finds now.
