DELTA BT14096-SS, 7.00 x 7.00 x 7.00 inches, Stainless

Works well IF USING MultiChoice Universal rough valve body. If you are using with existing or older pre-2006 valve body (Series 13) you will need the EXTENDED LENGHT sleeve (Delta Faucet RP22735RB Long -13/14 Series Trim Sleeve, Venetian Bronze) which is 34.00 by itself. The older 1300 series used a longer sleeve. The one that ships with this set is too short. I called delta and try to get the RP22735RB in Oil Rubbed Bronze to match the trim kit but they don't offer that color.......Come on Delta.......I also tried to get them to ship to me free since the trim kit does not work as it for the older or existing valve. They would not do it. So plan on adding 34.00 to the cost of your install. The RP22735RB color is close enough most will not notice the difference though. IMO Delta should include the RP22735RB in the kit! AND they should include the fact that this extended sleeve is needed if using the existing valve. Delta customer service told me there was not a longer sleeve available???? I found it by searching Amazon site. Come on Delta Customer Service........

so the trim is simple, easy to install, yada yada, it isnt worth leaving a review on by itself, BUT this DOES include the cartridge, which is great. HOWEVER, if your valve is older than 2006, the cartridge WILL NOT WORK.Long story short...got this and put the trim on with my existing/working valve, it was sticking out a bit, so i figured, might as well swap out the valves, because the stem that the handle attaches to, seems shorter. Removing the bonnet nut, is an ABSOLUTE pain. After about an hour of messing with it, i used my dremel to cut it off and bought another on amazon. Now, i go to remove the cartridge, pull on it, and SNAP, it breaks!!! The blue half stuck in the valve, where the top half was in my hand. HOURS, literally HOURS of trying to get it out, near impossible. Give up at 11pm (BARE IN MIND, WITH THE WATER TO THE HOUSE SHUT OFF), next morning, i run to the store to get more tools ($20) to remove this broken POS. Got it removed and go to install the new one that was supplied with this kit, HA, NOPE, its not the right size, literally doesnt fit and cant return it, i have no use for it. Run to lowes and spend $55 on a new valve. Get it installed, and there is still that same gap. THE GAP IS GOING TO STAY. All that time and money wasted because the old one broke, but i could have left it in there the whole time, the only reason i replaced it is because it came with a new one.Its more trouble than its worth, so if your system is older than 2006, and you can braze the joints or have a plumber do it, i would DEFINITELY recommend just going with a whole new valve/trim if you are doing a shower remodel (as i am). it would have been much cheaper and would have newer parts.

This is an excellent trim kit to replace your standard chrome shower handle fixture. I purchased thinking it was just the trim kit (as it stated in the item description), which is what I actually wanted, but I received the actual mixing valve along with the trim kit; WOW, nice! I didn't use the mixing valve, but if I ever need a new one, I got one on hand.Being that the mixing valve was the same as what we have installed, swapping the external trim pieces was a snap. So if by chance you are getting this particular Delta trim kit, make sure you have the mixing vale body (I have pictured)...I know it is the correct trim kit for the valve from first hand experience. Sometimes you're unsure of what you have installed and kinda reluctant to remove it and check it first, LOL!Nevertheless, this is a perfect replacement, super easy to install and my wife and I love it!

The first time replacing something like this and the generalized instructions didn't help. Fortunately, there's YouTube. I'd give it a better rating but after spending quite a bit to get a new kit for my shower, and spending hours replacing parts, I come to find that the sleeve is too short and now I'm supposed to spend another $40 just to get a sleeve that's long enough. The cartridge doesn't fit the valve either. I'm working with an older model valve but it's still from Delta. So now, I need to purchase a new RP19804 since the other one I was hoping to replace it with is too narrow for the valve, and the original was never replaced and has now created a small leak... Not really satisfied with this one... I gave it one extra star since it looks kind of nice and I'm sure if I spent hours searching I would have seen it's a short sleeve. But I would have never guess the cartridge wouldn't fit. It's all Delta parts after all.

Good quality. Has kept finish for about 2 1/2 years. No issues. Would buy again.

Easy install was not even close. I changed out Delta for Delta. Nothing lined up at all. Ended up taking out back of old cartridge and putting in new body. The rear water connectors on back of new cartridge were to narrow to line up. Screw hole plates also did not line up from old face plate to new plate. Ended up being a complete pain in butt!!

My old shower handle was a Delta but had 2 levers - one large to turn the water on and a smaller lever to control the temp. Both were getting almost impossible to turn with my aging hands. My plumber friend installed this new one (which matches all the other Delta oil rubbed bronze fixtures in my bath beautifully). Because the existing handle was pretty old (maybe 15 years), he had to buy a new valve to make this one work. Getting the old valve and gaskets out was tricky but he finally got it. I can now control the on/off and temp with one easy movement. It's the little things that make life so much easier. Took off one star because the new valve does require getting used to.UPDATE: the valve my friend used turned out to be the wrong one and after several showers, stopped working. So we called out a plumbing company and they said - yep - wrong valve - close, but not quite. They installed the correct valve and now this handle works like a dream - LOVE it! So- if you have an older faucet - you're probably gonna need a new valve - not included.

Mine was made of metal..Some kind of light weight aluminum for the ring and metal handle. The collar though was made of plastic. The title says trim only so I was pleasantly surprised to see a new monitor 14 valve in the box it came in. It matches my other oil bronze pieces (shower head, spout, and bathroom faucet). I love it. Simple yet elegant and does the job. It was also less expensive than the other delta monitor 14 oil bronze valve trim that was being sold on Amazon.
