Lasko Oscillating Adjustable Pedestal Stand Fan - 16” - 1646 - White

I was hesitant to order it because people had bad reviews on it but I took a chance. At first I thought I had made a mistake because the remote control wasn’t working well, but come to find out my husband hadn’t put in fresh batteries. Once he changed them to new batteries, it worked great. I’m used to having the hum of a fan to fall asleep and this one is perfect. It’s not too noisy though it’s just right. It works really smoothly and has 3 speeds. All the speeds work well. The air flow on the highest speed is surprisingly strong. Not like a “vornado” but good enough without the “vornado” price. I needed a fan that wasn’t too tall as I like to have the fan air hit my face while lying in bed and this one is perfect. The lowest height it adjusts to hits at just the right height as my pillow on my bedside. I recently had surgery and couldn’t be getting out of bed to be turning a fan on and off, so the remote control functionality of this fan is very practical. I’m very happy with it and glad I got it.

Easy to put together. Very few pieces. Works like it should. Nice fan with great side to side turning distribution. Plugged in and worked immediately. Does not come with AAA batteries for remote but I had some on hand. Looks good. Quiet and works good. Would buy again.

I actually bought two of these Lasko fans, and overall I'm really happy with them. They move a surprising amount of air, they're sturdy, and they were easy to put together. Now... one of them is whisper quiet. The other? Let's just say it doesn't turn on so much as it announces its arrival. 😂 Every time I hit the power button, it sounds like a diesel truck trying to start on a cold winter morning. I'm attaching a video because words simply cannot do it justice. The funny part is that after the dramatic entrance, it settles down and works just fine! So I'm swapping the loud one into my living room and keeping the quiet one in my bedroom. Would I buy these again? Absolutely. But if your fan greets you with the enthusiasm of a 1987 pickup truck, don't be alarmed... it might just have a big personality. Five stars for airflow. Four stars because my fan apparently identifies as a Cummins diesel.

I love this fan. It’s quiet and I like that I can control it using the remote. Worth the money.

My old Lasko fan finally gave out after nearly 22 years of excellent service. I'm sure if I had cleaned it out regularly, the dust build up wouldn't have killed the motor. RIP my old friend whose sound is sorely missed. In looking for a new fan, I saw this similar design and read many of the reviews to justify a purchase. This was a big mistake. This thing is plastic junk and NOTHING like the fan I recently lost. It's design ensures it'll be in a landfill in 5 years (if I'm lucky). To compare the two: Old: the only plastic parts were the base and the Lasko name plate, which snapped onto the metal grille. New: The only metal part is inside the motor, and you can bet if plastic conducted electricity, Lasko would remove the metal in the motor as well. Old: low setting produced a significant amount of air movement. The blade design was slightly more rounded and angled. New: the low setting is there simply to waste electricity. It barely puts out any air, likely due to the design of these plastic blades. The only noticeable flow I can feel is at the medium level. I do need to emphasize the fan is about 12 feet away from me, which was no issue with the old fan. Old: the noise level was soothing, peaceful, and easily put me to sleep as it was just the "whoosh" sound of moving air. On low, there was no noise at all. New: plastic garbage just rattles, clinks, and vibrates all night long. There's an audible "grind" sound as the blades struggle to push air. It's not coming from the motor, but the actual movement of air. Once you notice this sound, you'll always hear it and it's irritating. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED so many people rated this plastic piece of junk higher than 1*. Lasko is a US based company which means profits come before customer satisfaction. This product is proof of their business model. For those of you who rated it higher than 1*, you have my sincerest sympathy of missing out on the quality fans this company used to make.

Fan as described, everything was in box and easy to assemble, great quality air with remote and size is perfect for any room, a lil noisy great air flow,

I'm guessing for this kind of price this is the most 'basic' I can get out of a fan, so I'll say it's just an okay fan. It didn't match my expectations but I've lived in a country where fans were a basic, necessary commodity so now I realize maybe the standards are a bit different. It's a lightweight, easy-to-assemble fan, took me about 5 minutes to get it up and running. But because of how easy it is to assemble, it makes you wonder if it will stay upright without problems. The tube is just pushed into the base and requires not much effort to pull out so I was a bit afraid if it might fall once the fan starts running, but nothing has happened yet and it stays sturdy on the ground, and for that I am happy. The whole head of the fan is made out of plastic. Since the fan blades are made out of plastic, don't expect a lot of windpower to come from it. The plastic covers have a weird clunky locking 'mechanism' but they fit well and look like they'll stay locked together for a long time. I'm a bit worried about the motor, though, as what I want from this fan is its number 3 setting (the lesser settings aren't windy enough for me) and I don't really care about the noise but I feel like it's gonna pant from exhaustion soon enough.. But it's doing well, for now. If you're not too picky about a fan and just want something decent and easy to assemble, this is for you. But if you're like me and a bit picky with a fan's parts, settings, and durability, I'm afraid your quest does not end here. Update: I move the fan wherever I stay for a long time around the house and the stand really pisses me off every time it dislodges from the base. There's no way to make them stick together decently, as the installation is basically you just stabbing the pole to the base and voila. Besides that the height adjuster thing is sensitive. Sometimes id accidentally bump into or hold the fan and the adjusting pole just drops down. Again, good for the price if it just stays in one corner forever, not for picky, constantly transferring people like me

This is the second Lasko fan I have bought. Works very well. Remote is handy. First fan still working needed another Good fan. This is the one. Easy to assemble. Recommend. Built in US.

Buen ventilador para cuartos no tan grandes, personalmente no se me hace tan ruidoso a comparación de otros ventiladores, es fácil de armar y aunque sus materiales parecen de baja calidad, no dan problema alguno.

I am very disappointed with this purchase. The fan was assembled as instructed, and only worked for 2mins. I noticed the motor became extremely hot and there was a strong burnt smell coming from it, which was very concerning.

Great fan and very convenient with the remote.
