AWESOME Prep information!
I bought this for my son to study before he went into the Air Force. The book covers all branches and has some amazing information. I lived outside of Lackland AFB and worked there at a couple of jobs. I'm also the daughter of a 27 year vet and a wife of a 24 year vet. After all my years of being affiliated with the Air Force, I didn't think there would be more to learn. But that book has even more information than I could have thought possible. WELL WORTH the cost!!!

Very Good Book!
Very informative even though it's really not up to date. I like how he talks about everything about basic and the military itself. I'm looking to join the army reserves next year and this book is very great. It inspires me to lose my weight and join even though my family doesn't think I can do it. I highly recommend this book for everyone to get insight on it

Has enough
It does have enough info, and I mainly got it just to see how much different it is from a regular civilian life. Although I must say most of the information I found in the book is online, this is still a good book to purchase if you don't wanna go looking all over the internet for the information. I my self decided not to study anything in the book (other than the ranks) because I feel that everything I need to know I will learn when I'm there, but if people wanna get ahead, this book would defenelty help. I mainly used this book as an ice breaker, just to know what to expect from going, to know how it is not, than how it is from the movies.

Proven Useful for my Military Career
This helped me greatly in preparation for Basic Training back in 2012. Would definitely recommend any prospective Trainee/Recruit to get a copy before joining the armed forces. Only issue is that it's a bit outdated on terms of some of the information. Not quite 100% accurate as to what the real experience is. But you'll definitely find great pointers and useful information. Word of advice? Those pages on rank for enlistees and officers? Memorize them! That's easily the most important part of the book and probably the one thing that'll need to last your military career.

Bought as a joke but it was actually really informative
I was in the Army for awhile and I have a little cousin going into the Army in the near future, so I bought this for his as a gag gift. However after reading through a bit of it, this book has a lot of good info in it.

Everything a future soldier needs!
I am going to army basic combat training in June and this book has everything anyone could want to know about the army. It gives you a good list to memorize which will save you from doing hundreds of push-ups. During training there will be lots of memorizaation and by having this book it allows you to ease some of that stress if memorization. Overall an amazing book and necessity for anyone planning on joining the army.
