I just received and installed this timer for my pool's booster pump/cleanerI bought this as I was tired of the mechanical timers with "dogs". I always lose them.Thus I liked the digital idea.Programming is very easy and instructions are good.It is easier to wire if you take the timer module out of the plastic casing. Easy to do, remove the small screw to take the plastic panel off. The push the little snap feature in at the top an slide up. When you put it back in make sure you slide the two tabs at the bottom in the slot at the back of the box.The only feature I did not like is the having to put two wires in the same wiring slot. The jumpers were solid wire, but my wires were braded. Since the solid wire is thicker and the braded compresses I could not get a tight fit on my wires. Two options: make you own jumpers out of braded or twist the braded and solid together.All and all, though good first start....Wiring diagram was good as well

Wiring diagrams suck so check reviews - several tell proper way depending on application.

I bought the version with the see-through cover and the display became blank after about 10 months of use and the timer no longer turned off automatically. I contacted the seller/manufacturer and they asked me to take a picture. They determined that the problem was likely due to sun exposure and they sent me a replacement with non-see-through cover. The customer service was excellent, and because of that I feel compelled to give a 5 star review. It would probably be best to keep this product shaded, if at all possible.

My application was a little different; turning on/off outdoor accent lights at night. These are recessed LEDs, installed in the soffit overhang of the house; without a dimmer, it's way too bright, so I added a Leviton Shureslide dimmer.Using the 120V option 1 wiring didn't work; it ends up powering the timer electronics with a dimmer signal. Instead, I powered the timer separately (120Vac), removed the jumpers, and used the contacts to switch the dimmer signal to the lights. Works great.I agree with some of the other comments that parts of the display are small, but very usable. The timer has all the features I needed, so it's a good pick.I removed one star because they didn't have this application written-up in the instruction; I had to figure it out myself.

Easy to install and came with the needed jumpers for most applications. The instructions were clear to me and the jumper installation that I used was for a 240 volt salt/chlorine generation system that I have on my pool. The only thing I needed was a short 240 volt whip which I found at my neighborhood hardware store. Works like a charm and should save some money on electricity.

I've only had this a couple months, so the jury is still out on how weatherproof it is. Programming was pretty straightforward, and it has worked reliably in that regard. The diagrams for wiring are garbage. The only way I figured it out was by contacting the seller. They provided a completely different wiring diagram from the one provided in the box, and that worked like a champ. Once you know how the wires are supposed to be terminated, then it's pretty easy to do.

I purchased this timer to control the salt water chlorinator on my pool. The unit is compact and looks nice. Installation and programming was easy enough. However, the timer functions randomly work. I have never had an issue with the timer not turning on at the scheduled time, but turning off is another story. I would say 30% of the time it actually turns off when supposed to. Some days it days, most days it doesn't. I have reset, reprogrammed, etc. and still have the same issue each time.

Unit was a straight out swap for my old mechanical Intermatic timer. It is small enough that it fit in the pool control cabinet in place of the old timer. Connections matched pretty much wire for wire to the old timer (other than the jumpers to power the display). Documentation was reasonable, programing was easy and the unit has been operating perfectly for multiple daily cycles of my pool pump and salt water chlorinator. Looked at Wi-fi units but for my purposes it's pretty much set it once and be done so no need to be able to access remotely. Would definitely recommend this unit.

Easy to set up and operate.

I give this product O stars, the enclosed schematic, did not work and in fact blew the power! Nice!, our electrician took it and re writer the configuration,, worked very well excepto if it was programmed to shut off. Long story shot would not recommend. 😔
