Samsung HM1700 Bluetooth Headset (Purple)

This is a very smart buy. It works perfectly, where others I've used in the past, people couldn't understand me on & said they sounded muffled, this one sounds great. Besides being great for using a hand-free device in the car while driving, for me it serves another much needed purpose in my home perfectly. Inside my house my cell phone service is quite limited & in fact the only place my cell phone has good enough service to not be breaking up or dropping the calls is with the phone sitting propped up in the window, which was frustrating & near impossible to make, receive or carryout phone calls until I got this headset device. Now I can easily make, receive & carryout calls with my cell phone propped up in the window getting good service while using my Bluetooth Headset to talk & listen thru. I also love the feature it has for listening to my full song music from my cell phones Mp3 player thru the headset. I had waited a very long time to buy myself a bluetooth headset after using my sons because I had decided that I wanted a stereo headset & had looked around at Wal-Mart & some online & figured I couldn't afford a stereo one until way on down the road & also was unsure what brand to go with so I didn't have the problems I'd had with my son's where it was muffled sounding & nobody could understand me on it to the point of becoming basically useless for me in the end, but then I stumbled across this headset device on Amazon & found it to be very much affordable for me with the stereo feature & it being a Samsung, I knew that they were a very good brand name with excellence in all their other devices & electronics, so I took a chance on this being "the one" for me & ordered it & I must say that I couldn't have made a better choice & I couldn't be happier. It works excellently, serves all my purposes & came with the ac charger & all earpieces I needed. I also ordered a matching carrying case separately for it & love that as well. The only things I haven't got for it yet are a car charger hook up & USB charger to charge it thru my computer, but I think a car charger will be the first on my list, because that's really the only thing that's missing with it for me, & that's not a real big issue of importance for me at this time. You can't go wrong with this very pretty little device! I promise you'll love it & won't want to be without it! `

This bluetooth headset is of good quality, it pairs easily with my Samsung Galaxy S IV. This device is so small and light that keeping it for extended periods around the ear isn't a problem. The only complaint is about the range, it apparently the sound starts dropping around 3.5 meters. Apart from that, everything else is fine. I haven't tested the battery duration yet, but I will update my review as time goes. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, I would recommend it.

I have had this headset (so excited it came in my favorite color!!) for almost two months, and I LOVE it! It makes my life so much easier, and I love that it streams music! This lets me listen to my own music while my kids are watching a DVD in the car! It works perfectly, was easy to pair, and the battery lasts a LONG time--I've literally plugged it in to recharge only one time since I bought it! But the best thing of all happened just in the last few days... While I don't ever recommend getting a device like this wet, mine accidentally made a trip through my washing machine. =( I was so bummed, thinking it was done and getting ready to order a new one. But my husband said to try putting in a bag of rice for a few days and see if it would dry it out completely. I was highly doubtful, since it had spend almost an hour fully submersed in the wash cycle, but... after two days in rice, plugging it in and letting it charge, it WORKS!! Everyone can hear me just fine and I can hear them! I never would have believed it, but I'm so happy with this purchase! So happy that I had to come on and write my very first review! =) Definitely get this headset! It is just about indestructible, and super cute too!

I purchased it because of the price and the color availability. I like it but it hurts my ear so I have to switch ears every so often to relief the discomfort. Sound is awesome and I can listen to my music from the phone. It is very clear when receiving and making calls. The voice that tells me "call terminated" freaked me out the first time. Need to get used to it. UPDATE: Lost it on a business trip down an elevator shaft! Not only did it hurt my ear, it kept on slipping off my ear and it fell off.

I've already doubled-back to buy a 2nd one for a family member. I'm used to the Motorola Bluetooths and I've also tried Jabra. This is the first one that allows me to listen to music. It works great. It paired with my phone and Kindle HD right off the bat, no problems. It's clear and the volume control is great. I can listen to the mp3s on my phone so much louder now, having two different volumes to adjust. I hear callers clearly and they hear me clearly without ever having to adjust the headset. If I get out of range by going too far out of the house, it'll drop then when I get back in range it will reconnect, this was hit and miss with my previous Motorola. The only thing I can say is a couple of times it seemed to turn itself off, I clicked it off then on and it reconnected, no problem. I highly recommend this bluetooth.

I called the customer service line to express my dismay with my new Bluetooth Headset to no avail. I purchased the HM1700 from Amazon a little over a week ago. The package had the Samsung Hologram so I thought this was going to be a quality product. I could not have been more wrong. By day 3 the ear bud had detached from the base and is now hanging by the wires. I am the first to admit that I do put my phone along with my headset in my purse but never thought the product would fall apart as a result. I had a Plantronics headset the went in my purse, gym bag even my pocket and for 6 years is was a quality, sturdy made product. Because I use it daily I simply wore it out and decided to give Samsung a try since I bought my three sons the Samsung Galaxy II phone and Christmas and to date they have been very satisfied. All the representative on the phone could say was "sorry it's physical damage and you have voided the warranty". I offered to send pictures to show how it came apart but she continued to repeat the same thing as if reading from a script. I wanted to give Samsung a chance to make good on their product even offering to sell a replacement at a 50% discount would have been acceptable but unfortunately that did not happen. I waited to post my review on Amazon because I wanted to be fair but I feel I must let others know before they waste their money. After combing through the other reviews I noticed this is a common problem so again I have to go back to quality controll at Samsung.

I've had several bluetooths over the years. I tend to loose them or loose the ear piece off of them after about 6 months. My biggest problem I've had in the past is the ear bud part... I'm a woman, and at least half the ones I've tried have been too big to fit in my ear. I need the piece that goes into your ear and has the hook to hold it onto your ear so my hair doesn't pull it away from my head. I've had 3 different motorola devices in the past few years, and one of them fit great, but I got complaints that I sounded like I was in a tunnel. Another one sounded great, but the ear piece was interchangeable and I lost it. Another had good sound but fit uncomfortably. I gave up on that one after a couple months because after 15 minutes my ear would be sore. This Samsung HM1700 fits great, the ear bud doesn't pop off, the over ear hook is a great size, and the sound quality is perfect. Plus I can activate Siri on my Iphone with the push of a button, which I LOVE! The only things I don't like about it is the 10 seconds it takes to tell you that it's turned on and the device is connected. I've missed calls coming in because I'm driving and want to use my bluetooth, and the time it takes to "turn on" makes me miss the call. That and it doesn't tell you if the battery is getting low. The battery lasts a really long time, but I didn't know it was almost dead until I was on a call and it started beeping, cutting out my conversation. If I had some warning before that I would have charged it sooner. These are small issues though. When I eventually loose this one I will happily buy another. :)

Probably compliments my Note 2 better than anything else I have ever had. It makes juggling a single mom life and a daughter very easy while we are out and I am waiting to hear about something important. Great battery, lasts all day. Sound queality is wonderful and the ear thing threw me off at first as I dont like ear buds (hate them actually), and the wierd loop thing seemed like a joke. But that thing fits in and doesn't come out! Actually if you don't bump into it you forget it's there and I am horribly picky with this type of thing.
