These work great even if you are a beginner

Had to get my own....
I borrowed one of these units on the job site and frankly didn't want to give it back. Ended up just buying the exact model the boss had. Solid, great battery life thanks to the on/off switch. I like the pin system so you can use it on drywall, great for hanging pictures or whatever. I used this Lazer for a ton of projects while remodeling.

The laser is very dim, it is very difficult to see indoor. it might work better outdoor but only at night and without the moon light.

You have to put a pinhole in the wall to hold it in place as expected, but I would rather one hole in my wall then 20...

Very pleased. For the price it will do what you need. I had a wood wall that the pin couldn't go through so I just taped it after making a hole with a nail (that was too big). Would be better if the connection between the two parts didn't rotate as easily. When drilling on that wall the line moved and I had to readjust.
