Recommended. Clean cuts/connections.
Seems to work well. I do IT far a living and wire coax from time to time. I made a few coax bnc test connections for old analog cameras and this tool worked well. Recommended.

Time Saving Coaxial Cable Stripper
I was unsure at what I wanted in a cable stripping tool. This tool offers the ability to cut Cat5 Network cable. It requires a little testing to get the cut level correct. Be sure you test it out before you want to install Cat5, you may find that the blade cuts the pairs if you set it to deep. I found that by decreasing the cut and having it score the cable opposed to cutting it, works better. You will have to pull the jacket but it works very well. The best part of the tool, is the ability to cut RG59 cable to the perfect specifications for a compression BNC fitting. It will cut the black(or white depending on the cable color of your choice) and then it will do a second cut of the insulation to reveal the copper line AND then cut that copper cable at the correct length(1/4") for the compression fitting. For reference, I used the compression fitting Amazon Search Text: B0063KE4I0I used the compression tool Amazon Search Text: B0042PNZM4The other plus is that if the blade goes dull, you can flip it and use the other side. If both go dull you can purchase a replacement. You have to like a tool that you can replace blades in and not ONE and DONE.Top notch!!

Perfect strip on RG6 Coax
Opened the tool (UST-596) , put in the RG6 cable, let the tool close, spun it around 2 times, then slid it off the end. Absolutely prefect cut - not a single thread of the braid was cut. Total time less then 30 seconds - including opening the package. Added a twist-on F connector, and I'm back to watching TV.Since I only used the tool once, I can't speak to it's durability or use on other cable/wire types. But it seems pretty well made. And definitely a lot easier than trying to use a razor blade knife.

Use caution when spinning
Great tool for the price. I work for big blue in western NY. First week I sliced my finger open getting use to this thing. My hand slipped into the open end and the rest is a scar. Be cautious when spinning. I keep it in my chest pocket open end down. Haven't made that mistake again. My only design gripe is when using it to prep 11 the blade carrier slips out of place and spiral cuts the jacket every time.I have begun using my office supplied 11 prep tool because of this. I think a more secure locking method for the blade carrier would fix this issue for sure. For 6 and 59 this tool works great. It's more compact and easy to use then the standard size tool.I have company supplied jeans that have plenty of side pockets. I'll have on my left side my upper pocket full of 6 fittings and my lower pocket with my compression tool. Left side upper pocket with my wallet and 59 fittings and lower loop with my amp clamp and lower left pocket with my side cutters.Uniform chest pocket usually holds a moca filter 6 pad and EQ and any cut fittings I replace. This layout let's me complete most trouble calls with minimal runs back to the truck with the exception of replacement hardware or 11 fittings (I'll replace tags anyway so I need to go back for that in this case). This also prevents me from needing a tool belt in most cases. This tool really fits in to my every day attire well and I'm happy with the product. Just be careful with the open end blades.

I like the design
Easy to use, I like the design, great durability i dropped it from 22feet(from the roofline of a 2 story house)on a paved surface and didn't break. I have used it mostly on RG6 and RG59, but it works great on RG7 and RG11 too, cuts the correct depth doesn't scratch the center conducer. The blade for cutting the Ethernet jacket is good too, but have to recheck the adjustment due to the fact that I place it in my tool bag and sometimes gets moved. But still 5stars

efficient and easy-to-use
A nice tool for preparing wire for termination with the appropriate connector. Seems robust and definitely easy to use.

Jonard cable stripping tool very impressed so far!
Love this Jonard cable stripper so far. Bought for a CCTV project with RG cable which was delayed. Discovered the cat5/6 adjustable stripper slot. Adjusted for cat6 and am impressed. Have done several cable runs/terminations and have been very please this hasn’t been nicking the conductors inside. I’ve set it once and used several times with no issues. And I can be pretty ocd about my terminations (after all who ever wants to go back and first find, then repair a run...no one).Right now I’m in the recommend this tool camp. If I find issues with coax RG cable runs I’ll hop in and update my review.
