No pilot needle needed. Yes the thread alone gives amazing lift.

Q: Are these too dark blue to use under eyes where skin is thin?

The threads are light in color clear to be exact. I personally wouldn't use screw threads under the eye because it is a sensitive area. Plain mono threads will lay smoothly. screw thread need to be unscrewed twisted a little which could cause a pucker especially underneath the eye. This is what I do for myself. These threads are awesome for structure and volume and the supply will last for quite some time.
