I have several Hampton Bay fans and it is annoying to hunt for misplaced remotes. So my solution is to have two remotes for each fan, one mounted at a fixed location such as door frames, the other floating around. This way, you always can fall back to the fixed remote. There is only one problem with this solution, many remotes mean more cost. So I tried this model which costs 60% of a proper Hampton remote. It worked. So I am buying a few more.Update: bought another batch of 4. Worked fine. Also tried one knockoff at $9.99, no problem either, just slower delivery.

Perfect replacement for our Hunter fan. We love our children, but much like the missing socks in the dryer, remotes seem to disappear when in the vacinity of our kids.This paired up easily and works just as the one from factory did! We even have the wall mount with this one, previous owners must of not found it useful to mount control on wall (out of reach of little ones grasp is always a nice added benefit).

This remote was intended to be a direct replacement for my Hampton Bay fan's factory remote, and was more-or-less advertised as such, with a fit, form, and function that was exactly the same. For the money, it works well in that it when you push a button, an action occurs. However, I have had one major issue with the functionality--it only seems to work with my fan in reverse. This is after playing with the dim switches in the remote, that did not match my factory settings and that I found little support for. In the end, my fan works again, but not entirely as it should. Don't know how much of this problem is me, and how much may be the fault of the remote.

Works great, pretty much exactly like the one that came with the fan that we just wore out from use after 15 yrs of use.

Like the fact that it looked just like the ones being replaced and had the same buttons. Disliked:: Use a 12 volt battery that are not readily available. Why they didn't stick with the AA batteries I'll never know. You can buy them anywhere and they are used in many devices.

I have a very high ceiling fan in my den and my dog chewed up my last remote so I bought this one as a replacement. It works well for turning the lights on and off, dimming them, and for changing fan speeds but it does not reverse the direction as I was hoping for. If the reverse worked for me, 5 stars.

Works perfectly as a replacement for my original Hampton Bay remote which Hampton Bay doesn't manufacture any longer.

Easy to set up, had up and running in no time, now I have a new and working remote for the bedroom fan & lights.
