Hamilton Beach 4 Slice Toaster Oven

Writing this review post-mortem, as our toaster has just stopped working 6 years to the day after we got it. The bulbs won't turn on any more.PROs: Toaster has a slimmer and shorter footprint than most other toaster ovens in the market, and it looks cooler. It was the perfect size for our small apartment. The roll-back oven door was really great to have. It made it easier to add toppings, baste, and check for doneness as the food was cooking.CONs: In 6 years, we never figured out the toasting settings. Even the lightest setting seemed to burn toast. We always had to keep an eye on it and stop the toaster when our bread was as done as we wanted it. Also, the dial markings for toast color rubbed off after the years, so it would have been a guessing game anyways.Final assessment: I am on the market for a new toaster after 6 years, not a bad run for a cheap toaster, but I will not buy this model or brand again.

So far so good. We like rye toast and it would not fit into our pop-up toaster. This toaster solved our problem.

Bought this as a gift for my aunt and she loves it. It fits perfectly between her counter and cabinets.

Timer started malfunctioning after five months, would not turn oven off. Should be recalled as a fire hazard. Oven door had a significant gap when closed. Liked the design but shoddy quality makes it dangerous.

Disappointed that this product's heating elements just stopped working 6 months after I got it!!
