The E-Myth Manager: Why Management Doesn't Work - and What to Do About It
T**R
Read the E-Myth instead. Even if you've already read it.
I LOVED the E-Myth, which makes this book so incredibly disappointing.- The contrived premise with "Jack" is annoying and unbelievable.- It seemed that every other page was an advertisement for the E-Myth Academy.- The "speech texts" were long and unnecessary.- The whole fixation on "Emperor" and the conflict between Management, Ownership, and Personal Life was convolutedThere were a few nugget buried in the pages, but it was not worth the read to find them.

Interesting Insights into the Manager as well as Management
Another Gerber classic. While the E-Myth/E-Myth Revisited are the cornerstone of the franchise, and should be read before diving into this work, Gerber brings some fresh insights into both management and manager in the E-Myth Manager. As the E-Myth approach emphasizes, the fundamentals revolve around a system - in this case both a management system for business and career, that can be worked on, rather than merely in. Gerber takes us through the transformation of a composite manager - Jack - from frustrated middle management cog to E-Manager. He works through the developmentof a Vision, Primary Aim, Strategic Objective, Financial Strategy, Organizational Strategy, Management Strategy, People Strategy and Marketing Strategy. At each point, the emphasis is on system and consistent results - as well as self-knowledge and the preeminence of vision in the process. The book will make you think and provides opportunities for both introspection and development. A good read.

Loved IT
This is an awesome book. It really helped me to understand my OWN vision and focus. I have managed for several years and yes, have always looked at the owners goals etc. I need to work on my own personal strengths and build my own self up to be the best I can be ! I loved the book because it was just a freshing new way to understand management. It opened my eyes.

Sold to someone else for cheap
Not a useful book to me. The only one that was good was E myth revisited. Read that and you won't need nor want to read this one.

The E Myth Manager
If you have ever read any other books or white papers on management, I'd wager that at the end you still had a nagging feeling that you STILL didn't get how to put their theories into practice. This book takes a totally different approach to management, that you don't and can't manage people you manage processes. With that said, it gives you a concrete tactical approach to your problems in management. Easy, fast, read, written as a story.
