Niobium French Earring Wires, Hypoallergenic, Rainbow Multi Color Assortment, Earring Hook findings

I needed some hypoallergenic gold-tone earring hooks ASAP for a project and this set was available. I don't have immediate plans for the other five colors, but I'm sure I'll use them eventually. (I have been learning to make niobium earwires but I don't have anodizing capabilities yet so all mine are plain gray, which would've looked wrong with the earrings I am working on at the moment.) I may have a bit of trouble matching the other colors to metals, but what I know I can do is make seed bead earrings in coordinating colors and use these as hooks for those.The yellow ones here are not precisely gold-tone, but that's OK. I never really expect anodized niobium or titanium to match my other findings exactly. (These are anodized niobium.) I am just happy to get something kind of close! (They do match the color in the product image.) I am actually using these with some "antiqued" brass findings and chain and they are close enough for my purposes.These hooks are lightweight and they really don't bother my ears. (I can't wear anything but titanium or niobium -- I have all sorts of problems with surgical steel, gold, silver, etc.) I wouldn't put super heavy earrings on these, but something dangly and of light-to-medium weight would be fine.Anodizing is a surface treatment so too much wear may cause the color to rub off. Normal use shouldn't be much of a problem unless it is an earring you wear every day, and even then, it would take some time (weeks or months) to have issues.Overall, though, this is exactly what I needed. Matching jump rings, headpins, and eyepins are out there if you look for them, too.Edit: Just realized I got two of the dark blue pairs and none of the red. This isn't a problem for me but do be aware that you might not get exactly what is pictured.

I have very sensitive ears to nickel, and have an allergic reaction to almost everything. I even tried some "titanium" earring wires but those gave me a reaction. I wore these all day and slept with them overnight as a test, and I had zero reaction. I will be buying more so that I can fit all my earrings with these backs. I highly recommend.

LOVE these ~ the colors are amazing, perfect to change out the wires on my collection of earrings I am allergic to. I am enjoying restyling my earrings with colors that enhance each piece ~ and they are sturdy, too!

These ear wires are great but could be so much better if they were much bigger! Earrings styles are big and bold now.

The clear larger pkg. ~3x2 came sealed w/Niobium Rainbow asst. tape, however, the small inside clear pkg. containing the colored ear wires was snipped at the top so I emptied it out for 'kicks and giggles' & found one of the pair's mates--a pinkish purple one was missing...what a pain. I'm waiting to hear back from the company but am glad I checked because I was just going to put it away in my jewelry box to connect to earrings later. The outside clear pkg also contained a small black velvet mini bag and a white piece of cardboard so I didn't see the inside bag snipped at the top.

These are great. I'm allergic to pretty much all aluminum. I can't even wear gold or silver. These give me no problems at all.
