Bananagrams Party Edition

This game has been the family favorite for the last 15 years. I have gifted it to everyone I know, old and young. It is like a fast moving "scrabble" for each player. Usually we bring it on vacation, but had to order one to the vacation spot. It can be 2 people or multiple and just as fun to play. It's compact, doesn't require a board just needs a table top! It's addictive. Great quality and value and goes anywhere. Enjoy!

This is a great and classic game period. We really don't use the party tiles that much, we stick to classic game play, but it is also fun when we do. I bought this version not so much for the "Party element" but for the bag. It's much sturdier than the classic's cotton poly bag and holds up well when camping. I already have this black tile "Party" version for camping, and 2 classic white tile versions, we also have Bananagrams Duel. I wanted a second "Party" version to keep with our camping games. We swapped out the black tiles in one of the "Party" bags with classic white tiles so we can combine them with the black tiles when needed for larger camping groups. It's easier to separate the two games back into their respective bags. A bonus for us was that the party game with black tiles was much cheaper than the classic game but the Classic white tiles are easier to see in dim light. P.S. I also highly recommend 2 player Bananagrams Duel for camping.

The original Bananagrams is often out of stock so if you are looking to play the game, you can order the set with party tiles. This includes the basic 144 tiles of the original with the extra "party" tiles that can be used or not depending or your preference. I also happen to really like the black tiles - sort of the "dark mode" of the game. The game itself is a lot of fun, easy to learn and good for a range of ages. Not everyone has the time or patience for Scrabble. This is a great alternative that still provides an intellectual challenge and learning experience.

My family is already a fan of Bananagrams but there are 2 of us who are word wizards and always win. This version of the game is the great equalizer. There are random tiles that when you draw them you get to give them to another play to cause them to do an action. Compare it to play Uno and giving another player a skip or draw card. There is even tile to let you switch places with another player. Even as someone who is good at the game without the party tiles and I'm frequently the victim of the switch tile, I find it fun to take on someone else's letters and make it work. If you want to play without the party tiles, simply don't use them and you have a regular game of Bananagrams.

I love Bananagrams -ordered this "Party Edition" to expand experiences..... HOWEVER.... there are NO 14 "PARTY TILES" in my set.!!! What happened AMAZON???? I will not return item. What a hassel. There is no way to question Amazon on this "minor" detail!! AT LEAST there are the required 144 letter tiles; as there is suppose to be. So it is just a useable STANDARD set, no special party tiles! These black tiles are super solid and pretty cool! Maybe we will try playing this set together with my original white tiles for a double game when we have more players! Just another AMAZON error.... always some little thing to keep us watching the big guy... i.e. AMAZON!!

The best thing about this game is that each player can create their own grid independent of every other player. So, children and adults of all levels can play at the same time. The challenge is to make your own puzzle and use up all letters. The first to be out of tiles wins. They can be small words or large ones as long as they connect. It doesn't matter if one player is smarter than another. Its lots of fun and also portable.

I'm a huge Bananagrams fan. Probably doesn't hurt that I win most of the time. Well, the Party Edition levels the playing field. We had groups of 5-6 playing for a few hours, and we were laughing so much. Even the ones who don't tend to win stand a chance, and do win! I'm not sure how well this would work with 2-3 players - we did not try that. I also think this should have come with more letters, because when you're playing with more people, the game is over too quickly (as is the fun of watching the people having to deal with their penalties!). But otherwise, even if you have the regular Bananagrams game, if you're a fan, I can't recommend this enough.

We like that we are able to carry this game anywhere- very compact. We play a quick game, not quite to the instructions. Just 21 tiles and to make a few words linked together. It is testing our knowledge and many laughs as we tend to make up words to win! Great to get the mind working on something else. We haven’t played with a group - can’t wait! Would recommend. Easy game to play.

Tolles Spiel, sogar mein kleiner Computerfreak Bruder hat grossen Spass daran! Ob mit oder ohne Party Tiles gespielt wird, es ist ein riesen Spass und man lernt immer etwas dabei! Verarbeitung der Plättchen ist super, von Grösse und Gewicht her genau richtig.
