I love it!
I’ve been looking for something to prop my tailgate open for some time now. I found this item and at first, I was a little skeptical but after I installed it, I instantly fell in love with it! It’s perfect; no rattle when it’s closed, and It gets the job done. Highly recommend!

Not suited for TJ Wrangler
Firstly the item did not fit the TJ wrangler like it was advertised furthermore the countersink for the screws were not deep enough to allow the device to slide in and out as it was supposed to. I have had to apply for a refund which is also a difficult process with Amazon.

Not worth the money!
This product needs a threaded rivet puller gun to install, no big deal except the threaded rivets provided aren’t worth a damn. Also the main body machining doesn’t provide enough tapper in the screw holes for the provided hardware to seat properly. This causes the slide to rub on the screw heads. Also the knurled knobs don’t provide enough grip to tighten to stop movement of the tailgate completely. Very unimpressed with this product, enough so to write a review which I never do. Don’t buy it, spend the extra money and buy a gas shock system which I’m sure I’ll end up having to do once this bends.

Doesn’t work
It is not machined correctly. Securing screws do not for flush enough for the sliding arm to work. Why would you ship something that fundamentally doesn’t work?

Not an easy install on a TJ
This was a pain in the butt. The rod that slides out of the frame isn't long enough to be useful on a TJ without serious modification. I bit the bullet and made it work, but it took so much long than it should have. If I had it to do again, I would send this back and dealt with the issue of the door closing on me like I have for years. I took a little different approach than some of the other successful reviews, but everyone has their own ideas for making it work.
