Art Nouveau

Art Nouveau was an amazingly rich and fertile field of design in all media from architecture to jewellery despite its surprisingly brief life. It is a daunting task to encapsulate the complete range of production within a single book, but Ms. Fahr-Becker has made an admirable and successful attempt. As is expected, the book is massive and heavily illustrated with excellent period photographs and modern color photographs which are supported by an informative and well-written text.

Gorgeous and informative! I'm an interior design student and this book served as a wonderful reference for the period. Completely worth purchasing and beautiful enough I may gift it to friends in the future.

Very beautiful book with tons of pictures. I never knew of such treasures in the world created during this period. I look at the book often.

This book presents all of the most important artists of the art nouveau movement, and many others who are less well known. The text is clearly written, informative, and well researched without being dry or academic, and the illustrations are of excellent quality. Painting, architecture, graphic design, and decorative arts are given equal and balanced treatment. The price is amazingly low, given the high production values. I recommend this for anyone interested in art nouveau, including scholars of art history as well as lovers of good art (and good books).

I love this book!!! It is a heavy glossy, big, hard cover book that can serve you as a decoration in your living room. But the most important is that it is a reference book in history of Art Nouveau. A must in your library!

beautiful book with so many great full color images and illustrations of a lovely era in art/design history. For the price, the product is amazing. I haven't gone through all of the text but what I've read so far is well written with more than a touch of lyricism. happy I bought it!

The book is definitely worse it's rather high price. However there's a dramatic gap in the chapter about Italy and Russia - you simply won't know anything sufficient about that period in these countries.

I bought this book as a gift for my sister and it is excellent. It is textbook quality in its coverage of Art Nouveau and has great information and images throughout. If you're interested in Art Nouveau this is for you.
