****A SUPER SOLID PRIMARY LIGHT THAT ALSO FUNCTIONS AS THE PERFECT BACK UP!!
Finally, I have what I consider to be the perfect back up light! That is not to say you can't use it as a primary. During pre -dive testing in a bowl of water it provided over 2.5hrs of full power burn time and was still going at 4hrs, although it had dimmed significantly by that point. Very VERY impressive. It comes with two 21700 batteries that charge via the cable provided directly to the battery. The light is activated via twist action. I much prefer this function over push button since they have a much higher fail rate, not to mention the annoyance of turning on as you go deeper.I'm not a fan of huge hand held lights as I don't ever see myself needing to club anything to death. That being said, the size of the D700 is perfect. (See pic with lighter for comparison.)For proper testing I did two dives, each to approx 130ft and for 70min. The 6 degree beam cut like a light saber through the darkness and low viz (3 - 15ft) and even at the end of dive two, after over140min, it was still going strong! For recreational, tech, wreck and cave, the Orca Torch700 just became my new backup lights, one secured to each shoulder. EVERYONE should own two of these. For the price you cannot do better.Ill be following up in a few days with some pics and video.

The perfect light for the Open water diver.
The first thing I noticed about this light, was how well built it was. I own several orcatorch lights, and I'm always amazed at how well they're built, compared to how little they cost. For myself, I found it to be well balanced and feel good in the hand. I like that it comes with two batteries and that you can charge them with a standard USB-cable.I did two dives about an hour long each, and I did not notice any change in the intensity of the light. I really like that it provided enough light to see, without also being incredibly blinding. I would definitely recommend this light to anybody who's looking for a good light without breaking the bank. There's simply is not a better value out there, at least that I have found. 10 out of 10 I would recommend this.

Compact and powerful dive light
As divers, we all obsess over good dive lights. This dive light seems to fit the bill. It comes with a compact hard case package with extra orings and battery to carry it to your dive destination without worrying about running out battery or broken orings. Batteries can be charged directly through USB port which makes you not to worry about carrying chargers. This has a single high beam for finding critters and macros. It is small enough to tie it with your BCD without coming in the of your dive activities. I am planning to use for exploring the dive sites and during night dives rather than using as video lights.I will update the review after I take it to the water and see how it performs underwater.

Must Have!!!
What a fantastic dive light!!! This light is a must have for a backup light and even strong enough to operate as a primary. The light comes in its own carry case with 2 batteries as shown in the pictures. Light is small enough to put 2 on a single d ring but large enough to comfortably operate in one hand. I took this light on a recent dive trip with wreck penetration and it was bright enough to light up a hallway. Battery life was great as I was able to get 2 45min dives on a single battery. The housing is also very durable. I accidentally dropped the light in the parking lot when moving my gear from the crate to my truck and it didn't even scratch.

I love everything about this dive light.
I've been scuba diving for 33 years. Yes, I love night dives. But I take a dive light with me on every day dive too. I've had a couple dozen different dive lights over the years. This d700 is my new favorite. First of all the construction is compact and bulletproof. Triple O-ring seals keep it dry at depth. The batteries (spare included) are directly rechargeable with built in type C charge ports (yay!). No need to bring any bulky charge boxes on my many dive trips. The light itself is super bright. Comes with a perfect hard case. My wife is glad that I stop stealing her d550.I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
