Yes, if you have digimon cyber sleuth save on your switch then there will be a sidequest to catch Agumon. There's also plans for DLC to add Goku and spiderman to the dex.

I've played a little over 50 hours of the game at this point, and I've used the joy cons attached to the switch, the joy con connector to make it a smaller controller as well as a pro controller. I'd say any of those ways is a viable means to play the game. Just depends on your preference!
