Works Great, No Problems, Good Customizability
My previous hard wire kit for my Viofo A119 Mini v2 fried my car's battery, but this did not. That alone should make this a 5 star! My favorite thing about it is that I can choose how low I want the voltage to go before it will shut off power (keeping my battery safe). This is something that a lot of other kits didn't have, and it is especially good over here in the Midwest where you want as much voltage in your battery as possible during very cold days. The length was perfect for my car and I've had no problems with anything else. It did cost a bit more than others, but the voltage protection switching option alone makes it worth it. Overall, a great hardwire kit.

This is a review for the HK4 ACC Hardwire Kit used with the A229 Duo
If you are planning to use the Parking Mode feature on your VioFo Dashcam, look no further for you have come to the right place. The packaging was pretty basic but the wiring insulation quality seems to be heat, cold, water and oil resistant enough to stand the extremes of most environmental experiences of a consumer's car. The kit comes with an integrated car battery voltage drop circuit with a four position switch that allows you to pre-set the battery voltage you want your dashcam to power off at. Bear this in mind as you choose a location for this switch. There was (more than) enough slack to find a suitable location for my switch (behind the glove box with double-sided tape). There is single wire between USB-C plug (at the dashcam) and the voltage dropout selector module. On the opposite side of the module has a small torroid (most likely) and three wires (Battery, Accessory and Common) for Switched, Constant power to the dashcam which enables parking mode to work on the dashcam. These wires are all the same length and the length of these wires was long enough to route to the fuse box of my Volvo XC60. The common wire has a pre-soldered spade connector that is very convenient for a quick installation but the red and yellow wires (battery and accessory) actually have crimped barrel connectors that you must interconnect with aftermarket fuse taps for your particular fuse size. This means that BEFORE YOU START YOUR INSTALLATION YOU MUST determine which two fuse locations you want to use, make sure you purchase (or order) the correct fuse tap size(s) and once said fuse taps arrive, check them to ensure they are the correct in orientation so you can install them safely without pinching them or bending them too far so as to damage the fuse tap wires. Remember also that you need to be able to actually close the fuse box cover after installing these fuse taps - they are pretty tall for their size, especially depending on the size of your fuse and there are probably six different sizes our there so do your research prior to starting the installation. This product was actually really easy to install, especially given the price. This is an excellent value for what is included and the unbelievable features the camera will have as a result. I highly recommend checking out parking mode if you own a compatible VioFo dashcam. One other thought: I installed the VioFo in my wife's car and I bought a FitcamX for my car - both have parking modes so I will be installing the fitcamX in my car today. I purchased the FitcamX hardwire kit and it was twice as expensive as the VioFo HK4 but the OEM actually pre-sized and pre-wired the Fuse Taps and pre-soldered the battery and ACC wires with in-line glass fuses BUT they don't have the voltage selector switch that you find on the cheaper VioFo. Once I get the FitcamX up and running, I will leave a review for that product on their page.

I tested it out using a car jumper battery , it worked
I just received it today, i did not connect it to my car fuse box , I may not even do that. I am waiting for the 70Mai parking surveillance cable , and I will try to connect it to my 70Mai battery pack , using the red, yellow and ground wires. For today, I connected it to a car jumper battery, I connected the yellow and red wires together to the red clamp, and the black wire to the black clamp, my Viofo A329T started right up when I did that . I started the viofo mobile app and I was able to activate the parking mode . This is not how I intend to use it though . I was just trying things out . I will update after I received the 70Mai parking surveillance cable . I’m reluctant to connect any thing to my car’s fuse box . I will use a battery pack instead . Stay tuned .

Check your cutoff setting if your camera doesn't power on
3.1.22 Update After installing the 2nd hardwiring kit and it died, I contacted viofo. They told me to set the cut off to 12.2 since there was a ".2" margin of error. Once I set the cutoff voltage to 12.2 and I pulled the constant power fuse and reinserted it to reset it the camera turned back on. I will see if I have any other power issues with the current setting. I have 2 t130 cameras. Both hardwired. One on a Niro EV and another on a Palisade. The hardwire kit in the Niro will cut off when the cutoff voltage is hit. When I start the car the T130 comes back on. However on the palisade, after working for 1 day the cutoff is hit the camera does not come back on. If plugged in with the 12v power cable the camera will come back on. So it is the hardwire kit. That was the issues. I ordered another hardwire kit and reinstalled it. First time I solder to a power cable. The 2nd time I used a fuse splitter. After working for 2 weeks the battery drained again and hit the cutoff. The camera would not power up again. I checked for power coming to the cutoff box, the car is sending power to the box. But there is no power being sent after the cutoff box. Debating if I should return both cameras and wiring kits and go with another brand. It is very frustrating reinstalling the hardwire kit to have it fail twice.

Warning for AGM battery owners
This hardwire kit has a draw of about 9 micro-amps when you are not using the parking mode feature. I have an AGM battery with a resting voltage of 12.8v. From VIOFOs website they state the voltage cutoff feature has a variance of +/- 0.3v. For me, the cutoff feature is cutting off at ~12.25v when set to 12.4v. This is a state of charge much, much lower than a regular flooded lead acid battery at 12.25v. There's nothing wrong with the hardwire kit, it is very good. But I unfortunately cannot let it run until voltage cutoff like I had hoped. I must set parking mode to a limited amount of hours in settings. In practical application, a fixed recording time of 8 hours covers more than enough time for everything I do and only drops the battery to ~12.5v. So, just a heads up to AGM battery people. If you have a regular lead acid car battery you don't have to worry about any of this.

Works great with VIOFO A119 Mini 2 and my 2018 Honda Civic!
Bought this for my VIOFO A119 Mini 2 and it works as advertised. Just make sure you buy the right connectors for the type of fuses in your car. I messed up and bought the wrong ones the first time. Once connected it works well, I like that it has protection from draining your entire battery. Running the cable through the dash, A-pillar, and headboard was pretty simple after watching a few videos. Installation Ease - 3/5 Features and Functionality - 5/5 Build Quality and Reliability - 5/5

Get some knowledge to get confidence before you start.
I found this to be very easy once I had followed the U-tube guidance to give confidence. Picked a nice sunny day and laid everything out. All went very well. Used a connector from Powerful (a U-tube site specialising in Landrover add ons). Would recommend watching a video first to help.
S**!
Onmisbare hardwire kabel.
Maakt goede aansluiting om ook in parkeerstand de Viofo zijn werk te laten doen.
