I bought these tins to hold Prismacolor colored art pencils. I had to sharpen some of the pencils because they were about 1/16” too long to fit in the tin. The tins are excellent quality and arrived quickly and undamaged. The tins are tall enough to hold two rows of pencils, so each of the two tins holds 24 pencils. I was able to put all 48 pencils into the tins, and the tins could be carried in my handbag, instead of the cardboard box they came in. I highly recommend the tins and will purchase them again.

The boxes get five stars, because they are exactly what they exactly as described. They are not a cheaper version of the pictures product. The boxes are worth the price I paid.

Bought these to store and transport my Caran D'Ache Neocolor II water-soluble pastels in, and they fit perfectly! The foam that comes inside the tin is perfect to hold the pastels in place so they don't jostle and break. As you can see from the photo, this tin holds 19 Neocolor II's. (FYI, all these Neocolor II's are brand-new other than swatching. So they're full size.)

These tins work great for my travel art kit. It fits my neo colors & water color trays. Happy with the quality & value. A lot of possibilities.

I bought this 2 pack of tins because I saw a photo of someone using them to house their Gansai Tambi Kuretake watercolor pans, which are giant, and I felt this sort of tin would be exactly what I needed to take a large 48 set of pans and consolidate that set to a more travel-friendly palette. I stick a label on the tin to let me know which brand is in which tin, and put a few stickers on the outside, and then I'm set. I plan on buying more for my watercolors. The good news is if you have magnets for your pans, they will stick to the tin. It's not a tremendously strong magnetic stick, but it's enough to keep your paint pans IN the tin pretty securely.

I’ve been searching for a storage solution for my beloved Kuretake Gansai Tambi paints that are in xl pans and arrive in cardboard display boxes. They don’t fit well in watercolor tins but these are perfect! I can fit 12 in each one. I ordered some adhesive magnets so they don’t slide around. Now they stay put and are easily removed to create a palette for the day’s painting. I immediately ordered more of these to finish storage for the rest of my collection. Once I’ve decided on their organization I’ll create swatch cards for each tin and stick them to the inner lids.

Relatively well-made, a bit short for a pencil though, would probably work for random small things though.

Perfect for painting 4x6 panels! Saw the idea online using mint tins but these tins allow you paint on a little bigger panel. Just put magnetic tape on the back of the panel and you’re ready.
