This is a coil cord on steroids! X-cellent, dude! Jumbo-sized coils--about 2X as big as a standard coil. Heavy-duty thickness + weightier than average. But i like it. My picky guitar-playing boyfriend looked at the construction + the solder connections + pronounced it "Very good quality." That's good enough for me. It makes smooth, clean, noiseless connections. No crackles. The only weird hum to be heard is my playing. I expect this sucker to last + work for years which is great for this X-cellent price. U can pay more but probably not get anything better. The purple color rocks. Cool looking. My bass is happy with this heavy-weight cord. If you're tired of cords getting crackly, noisy + becoming unreliable after alot of use + abuse, this may be the right cord for you. And i think this will look good on-stage too. Something different. Jumbo coil from planet X!

It is a coiled cable that does it’s job, the purple cable and gold ends looks pretty nice, and it is built really well. The cable has a nice feeling rubber coating, and it looks like it has some sort of steel cable or tubing around the core of the cable to help keep its shape. I always make sure I do not have it tangled when I put it away, and I will push the coils back together so they don’t stretch too much over time. It being the thickness that it is does make it heavy though, you definitely should put the cable through your guitar strap to avoid putting all the weight of it on your input jack, but you should be doing that anyways. So I recommend it! It is cheaper than all the name brand cables but it still feels great!

Absolutely love this cable! It's really a great value. It does have one issue though, being so large and bulky, it needs springs not shrink wrap on the jacks. If Kirlin fixes this then it's hands down at 20 bucks or less, the best curly cable out there. I have a favorite curly cable that is a Univox cable from the 70's, best cable I've ever heard. I use it to record with only. It's even bulkier than this one. I'm glad I found a close equivalent in this cable plus it's my favorite color and the right shade of purple. Don't stop making this cable Kirlin and bolster the jacks with springs please.

This coiled instrument cable works great, very quiet, no crackling, good length (for my needs), and - MASSIVE! In the photo you can see the comparison between the purple Kirlin cable and three other '70s/'80s-vintage coiled instrument cables - the difference is fairly amazing! The coils on the Kirlin are nearly 1" in diameter, as opposed to 1/2"-3/4" on my other cables. Oh, and it weighs almost exactly 1.5 lbs., so don't plan on swingin' yer axe around much... But it works very well, sturdy, quality jacks, well-insulated, practically noiseless. Probably best for guitars with a top-mounted jack, or secure it through the guitar strap on a Les Paul or similar (a good idea, regardless). Great color, too!

A lot of cooled cables with an outer layer this thick usually run for $40+. Not only does this cable sound really good, but the price is amazing. If you don’t like coiled cables, don’t get them! If you do, get this for sure. It’s durable, and it has a dope aesthetic.

Very heavy cable but makes for a great cord going from my pedal board to amp doesnt tangle and makes wire management a dream definitely would buy again

I am pleased with this “curly cable” very heavy cable and price is right. So much so that I bought 2 more. Time will tell about durability.
