GM Parts 10430189 Radiator Surge Tank

I’ve owned my 2001 Corvette convertible since new, ordered from the factory in November, 2000, and arrived May 23, 2001. Replaced my original deteriorating 17 year old coolant reservoir tank. I’m not mechanically inclined at all but had no problem quickly installing this. Tank appears more transparent than original tank was. Hard to remember as it’s been so many years. In any case, it’s very easy to see the coolant level. Great product at a great price.

Orignal one started leaking and this one solved the issue. 2004 z06 corvette. Remove all dex cool as soon as possible, I have replaced nearly all the items (Hoses, radiator, water pump, thermostat, and gaskets) in 100k miles, I have gotten over 200k miles out of all my other vehicles without having to do so much replacement of cooling system parts. Usually just a water pump or thermostat.

Works great but before you replace your old tank because you think it is leaking... check the line connection that goes to the radiator for leaking around. I replaced my tank because I thougth it was leaking around the seams but the new tank was leaking too. I finally found out it was not my tank but the connection where the line comes from the radiator and connects to the tank on the upper side. The clamp GM uses gets weak over time and it was the cause of all my problems. The clamp is only a couple bucks!!!
