My current clippers have a switch I have to push forward and hold when I trim. What kind of switch does this have? Can I lock it?

There is one on top for a thumb. Holding that up unlocks the trigger in the handle that operates the clippers themselves. Once you are holding the trigger that operates the clippers, the switch on top can release and the clippers would still function as long as you are still holding the trigger down in the handle.

what cord do i buy for this???? just a regular outdoor extension cord? 2 prong or 3 prong????
