like in my last car
I thought these would attach to the inside of the window, like in my last car, so I didn't care for the fact they stuck to the outside on the car. And didn't fit exactly.

expect a lot of headaches installing this on your cx-9
Very weak design and execution. On my 2015 cx-9 the ribs on the visor are too shallow to allow proper installation. So the sticky tape barely made contact with the door frame. This not only makes the visor insecure, it also allows rain to drip through when window is cracked which defeats a major purpose of the device. In addition, the curvature of the visor did NOT match the shape of the front doors (it was off a bit on the back doors too). So while applying it, I had to force a steeper bend into the visor so it would match the contour of the door. This was inconvenient to say the least and one more problem with the device being secured to the vehicle as it tends to want to straighten itself out. I ended up having to buy superglue to run a bead along the top of the visor to affix it to the door more securely. The bead, may also help seal the massive gap at the top of the visor and help prevent water leakage through the seam. If I had it to do over again, I would pay the extra money for name brand vent visor. My friend paid the extra bucks and had no problems installing the vent visor brand on her 2015 CX-9.

Not the best fit.
I bought these for my car. The front ones went on easily enough and matched the contours of the window. The rear window guards were a different story. Only one went on easily. The other one “almost” fit. The top section fit but the two inch sections where the guards are supposed to stick at the front and rear of the window did not follow the contours of the rear door and would not stick to the window frame. It’s managed to stay on so far and unless you know it’s not sticking, it’s difficult to notice.Your results may vary.
