I consider this a must have around the house.
Are you live in Florida so this is handy not only around outdoor electronics that will be subjected to the elements but also for things like cleaning off here light bulb sockets, light switches, etc. that start to get a little corrosion with them with age.

Works wonders for cleaning just about any electronics
I was searching for a product like this for years to clean old electronic gadgets that have layers of grime inside. It seems to have the same properties as something I used to be able to easily buy in most hardware stores called "Tuner Cleaner". For those old enough to remember, analog TV tuners were dials that would get dirty over time and that would eventually lead to bad contacts and a fuzzy picture. All you would need to do was to squirt some cleaner into the tuners and it would melt away the grime and it evaporated in seconds... then viola! The TV was as good as new. Although TV tuners are now solid state, there are still times when you absolutely need a product like this. It's still perfect for any analog parts like volume knobs and for most electronic buttons and dials that get sticky or suffer from a bad connection. After Hurricane Sandy, I had a bunch of computers and other gadgets to clean for my clients, so I searched for the best way to clean them up. I picked this one because it was designed for marine use, so it did a particularly good job of removing not only typical corrosion, but salt deposits. After cleaning, everything looked as good as new.

excellent product take note of the straw attached
I recently used this product on an mp3 player that I had where the scroll wheel and clicker button where somewhat unresponsive. This item cleared it up and evaporates quickly, however I wish that I had noticed the red straw attached to the can before I used it. I obviously used 2 much and eventually ruined the mp3 player's LCD. Had I used the red straw this item would have worked perfectly for the process. Also, I learned from using this that a little goes a long way. It does not take much of this to clean whatever contacts or electronic product you may have. I, on the otherhand, went overboard with it causing damage in the process. Heed my warning and use the red straw if you will be using this on a small electronic (which is typically how electronics always are). A quick 1/2 second spray probably would've done the trick for me. This was my first time ever using such a product though and was really a last attempt effort to salvage the mp3 player. Still, an excellent product even though I misused it. It does what it should as long as you use it properly. A small amount should do the trick along with letting it evaporate with the electronic device off.

Excellent Product, works!
I have used this product for a number of years to deal with oxidation on electronic parts such as radio dials, battery terminals and other similar needs. While I do not live near the ocean and saltwater, my philosophy has been if it can work under those conditions, it should work just fine for my needs. And it does!

Awesome - used on my alarm clock volume dial
This is far less expensive than the non-marine version in a similar size for some reason. Usually marine grade stuff costs more. Check West Marine vs other places and you'll see. It works great. I sprayed it into my alarm clock's volume dial which was really touchy and it's fixed like new. The reason I bought it was for my tent trailer/car connector which was not always working (electronic brakes intermittent) and it fixed that too. I'm guessing it's the same as the non-marine version. Just buy it. Works great in non-marine applications too!
