Wireless Ballast Phoscon FLS-CT lp - Light Design for Powerful Color Temperature Control

This is an excellent plug-and-play option for getting the adjustable white led of your choosing to work with an existing Hue setup. I imagine it works well with other Zigbee applications, but as I am using it with a Hue Bridge, I do not have any way of testing that. Hue saw it immediately and controls it just the same as any of the White Ambiance lights. I have not had any trouble with connectivity yet, and we've lost power to the hub several times since installing - it reconnects seamlessly.I would warn that it is VERY easy to break the plastic tab that releases the pressure plates that hold your connections in - I recommend using a toothpick or similar (softer) pointing tool rather than a precision screwdriver as I made the mistake of doing at first. I wish that these were screw based instead.

It works, but for its price, it could be better.Pros:- Easy to setup up the hardware- Easy to add to HueCons:- When turned on it pops on without any fade up. This is unlike Hue bulbs that have a fast fade up when turned on. It does, however, fade out.- When slowly transitioning the brightness up, there is a VERY noticeable step in intensity. For example, let's say you are fading the light on over 10 minutes it will turn on at 0% pause a few seconds and pop to 2% pause a few seconds and pop to 4%; all the way up to 100%.I'm sad to see such a great piece of hardware crippled by bad firmware. I hope in the future these issues will be fixed, but since there is no way to update the firmware on the device I am forever stuck with these problems.At half the price I could overlook these issues, but at $60 it is hard too.

Great product. Easy to use, paired with my hue bridge on the 1st try.

I used this with a Hue Bridge which also controls the Phillips Hue White Ambience light bulbs. By using a CW-WW LED strip on the FLS-CT IP Ballast , the color temperature and dimming of both the LED strip and Hue LED bulbs can be controlled simultaneously via the Hue Bridge.Unfortunately, the first unit I received was defective. Support was received quickly via email, and I had a replacement working unit in a few days via Amazon returns.
