FolkArt Stencil Paper, Alphabet & Monogram Paper Stencils 8", 30pc

I loved that the letters were big enough for my project, although the Cardboard is a little flimsy, I can still use it much more time.

Trying stenciling “Welcome” board for first time. Only able to use letters twice. (Actually stopped using half way through 2nd application, ended up free handing most letters for 2nd coat of paint. When using have to make sure you press down on stencil in that area so paint would not run under the stencil. After first usage, stencil was warped. Wish I could have found an 8” plastic stencil.

I can see that I will have to be careful with some of the more delicate detailed areas, as it is just what it says...it is paper. The thickness will be good for several uses and maybe I can be careful for longer use. The letters are nice and not thick but a good width for the plans that I have for it. For all that you receive, overall, it is a good value. I can't wait to make my signs....fun and rewarding. I can order smaller letters as well, for a different look...which I will do. The delivery went well and fast. Very nice to know.

I use paper stencils a lot. They are much cheaper then a plastic stencil. I never paint over them, I trace the inside of the letters and then paint. This way, they last forever.

Paper stencils are the worst. Even taping them down and using a stencil brush, the paint just bled. I’m going to sand all the paint off and start again. The back of the stencil also stuck to the paint and peeled off. Now I’m on the search for plastic stencils with a certain fonts.

These are great if you like to trace and then handpaint. I didn't do that. I used paint directly on them. They didn't hold up very well. I got two uses out of them. The letters turned out nicely and didn't bleed through. I love the stencils though. I do recommend them if you trace then handpaint.

These letters worked great for this porch welcome sign that I made. I wish that they weren’t paper so they would last a lot of uses, I feel like 3-4 is the maximum amount of times they will be able to be used. I taped them down with painters tape, used chalk paint and stippled the paint on in 2 thin coats and they didn’t bleed through any noticeable amount.

Worked well! Make sure to tape the stencils down well and use very little paint so the paint doesn’t leak.

Save your money and invest in transparent stencils that are either metal or plastic. These stencils are super flimsy and will probably be only good for 1-2 times. Also, it's really hard to align the stencil as you can't see through the paper. The only pro would be the font style. I've already used the item, so unfortunately I can't return it. Spend a few extra $$ and get something that can be reused and of better quality

They worked well for what I needed them for - I was using paint on wood, once the paper got moist it started to curl, so I had to be careful and go slow. I'm sure if you used paint/markers, to outline the letters and then carefully paint the inside of the letters - the stencils will last longer.

I tried to use these on a welcome sign. I taped them on the board and painted them. Then I tried to take off they stuck, ripped and left paper all over the board. I would only buy these if you want to trace letters. I do not recommend if you want to use with paint.

Even though these are paper they work great they’re thick so they hold up and all I do is trace the letters then I paint takes more time but looks amazing
