Here's the deal. When you first lie on the mattress, it's great. Super soft, like floating on a cloud. Sadly, humans do not permanently lie in one position. You will eventually want to adjust, lie on your side, or shift to your other side, or whatever. With this mattress, you are cocooned in a marshmallow of softness. Instead of just turning, you wallow. I have to raise myself up on my elbow, turn my body, and lie back down. It's a process and it's not easy.Shortly after lying on this mattress, I remembered why water beds fell out of favor in the seventies (yeah, I'm old). Sounded great, but no. Getting in and out of the old waterbeds was like climbing out of a hole. This mattress is like that. I have to climb out of a marshmallow hole and the hole is fighting me the entire time. The soft material that envelopes me is mashing around my body and slowing my every movement.Would I buy it again? Absolutely not. Way too soft. It's warm, it's comfy, and if I could lie down and remain in one position for eight hours and then struggle my way out of it, this would be a fantastic product. Since I'm human, and like to shift position from time to time, this wakes me up and forces me to battle the fabic to move every so often all night.

My daughter recently wanted to upgrade from her toddler bed into a "big girl" bed, so we originally bought a memory foam mattress from walmart. After doing lots of searching, it was the best value and had decent reviews. After all, my 5 year old does not need a thousand dollar mattress.Well, big mistake.I had to cut the entire mattress out, it came lumpy and took forever to fill out. And when it did, it did not fill out correctly. So I had to jump through HOOPS trying to return a terrible mattress and coming back into the online shopping field with new skepticism.Okay, so maybe my daughter does need a more expensive mattress, but again, i cant just throw down a thousand dollars!And then, i saw this one. Yeah I was skeptical. It was only a little bit more then what I originally spent but according to everything about it, it seemed like a good fit. What finally made me suck up my fears and push the "purchase" button was the money back guarantee. If it didnt work out, I wouldnt have a hard time returning it.LUCKILY I DONT HAVE TO!This mattress is SOFT! You feel like your entire body is being craddled. And rolling it out was AMAZING! The packaging was simple enough that I litterally just had to roll it out. No cutting a bunch of plastic off and attempting to shuffle it out! Here is says that it can take a day to fully fill up but I dont know. Its only been five minutes and it looks pretty full to me!over all, I am a very happy mama! And a very jealous mama. I might have to replace my own mattress with one of these now!

Mattress is on the upper end of medium, definitely firm but not rock hard. It's exactly what my body/back needs. The material is satiny soft.I gave it two days to inflate but it was probably done after 24 hours. However, the odor is still incredibly strong after three days. I recommend airing it out for a good 5-7 days and hold off on the bedding so the mattress can "breathe" (actually get all the gasses out). Otherwise the odor will be trapped in the bedding. I used this process with my last gel mattress and it worked well.

We needed a twin mattress for our spare bedroom as we were expecting some visitors this and next month, and after some research I decided to buy the Irvin Home Collection twin size 10-inch gel memory foam. I have not tried it for myself, and that is why I cannot fairly give an opinion of the comfort level of sleeping a whole night on it, but it feels nice when you lay down with a medium-firm support. It is nice to the touch and it the design looks pretty. It arrived one day before expecting, so it was a plus as you have to leave it to inflate completely for a couple of days. When first open it, it started to get its size pretty fast; but it did not reach the full 10-inch. I thought that it will reach the full size eventually, but it did not. It is a little bit less than the 10-inch mark and that is why I give it a 4. My daughter in law is the first one to use it, and she said that it was pretty good to sleep on it. She did not mention that it was super comfy, but it was okay. As I said, it is soft to the touch, but you cannot say that it is 5-start soft as it is more medium-firm; so if you like firmness, I think you will like how this feels under your body. Overall, I think it was a good buy. I would recommend it.

Bought this mattress in California King for my teenage, Son. While we are waiting for the frame, he slept on a much more expensive mattress (nearly new also) in our spare bedroom the day before this mattress came so he could choose which one he wanted for his room. Since frame still isn’t here yet, but mattress came, we put the mattress on the floor last night in his room so he could sleep on it. This morning he said “Mom, that mattress is a problem..... I don’t want to get out of bed!” He loves it and said it is so comfortable. I asked him which mattress he wants to keep and he said this one by far. It has just the right amount of firmness and the more expensive one is too soft.

I definitely think the mattress is good quality but I have to say, it's not as comfy as I had hoped. The gel top layer is minimal so there is not enough cushion before you hit firmness. Consequently, I was not aligned properly. I'm a 140 pound female. Woke up often with sore back.I contacted the company and they offered no help or suggestions (was hooing they woukd have an additional mattress pad or something). I even asked if I could exchange it and got no response.Ling story short, it's good quality but definitely firm, not medium firm. Customer service is meh.UPDATE: Right after I wrote this I got an email telling me to contact Amazon but did not mention another, less firm option.
