I board dogs and therefore have a lot of accidents. This stuff keeps my house smelling like I didn't even have dogs. I soak up the urine (incidentally, pressing an unused pee pad face-side to the carpet works excellently), then put the urine destroyer on and let it self dry. Visiting dogs do not re-mark the same spots, which tells me it's getting a lot of the odor out even for the dogs' smell. It leaves no residue and has never damaged the colors of my carpets. I keep buying it over and over again!

I ordered and used this product on a seven month old stain which I could not remove using several other products. I followed the directions, and voila, the stain has been removed. I have 2 older neutered male indoor-only cats who lost their collective minds when a young female stray started coming around. They both began territory spraying in our sunroom. The room literally reeked. Nothing I cleaned with-including a enzymatic skunk scent remover removed the gawd-awful smell. I purchased Shout Carpet Urine Destroyer this morning. Since I had no idea where they sprayed urine, I put the Shout in a spray bottle and literally sprayed every surface 2 feet and under, including furniture. Almost immediately, the strong urine spray began to dissipate. An hour or so later, the scent was neutralized, and a light, fresh clean scent was left. Stuff works, that's for sure. I found the prices on Amazon pretty high though. You can purchase the same size product for less than $5 at Wal-Mart.

I don't know why cats pee on stuff, but they do. This is the only thing I've used that gets the smell out and doesn't just partially cover it with a stronger smell. It may affect the color of some things, and I'm not sure if it's effective in stopping them from peeing on the same thing or in the same place, but at least it gets the pee smell out of my clothes so I can wear them again.

Works great and I love the big squeeze bottle. So much easier to use than a spray bottle.

Great value for your money and gets rid of urine smells. Easy to use just squeeze it on the spot and wait the recommended time then use the pet vac to pull it up.

Works as advertised, use plenty of paper towels to blot in between. Step on them for added absorbing. When towels no longer are saturated, squirt on the product and blot again. Add product and blot again. Depending on thickness of your rug repeat until yellow urine color disappears.

I think it did a great job getting rid of the dirt in the carpet. However, the next day I could still smell the dog urine. The room is 10X10 and I used the entire bottle so I was not impressed.
