The reason it's better to go with a clear one is to obviously see where the line ends and where it begins. Precision is key to beard growers however due to it being plastic you will find yourself scraping against the material here and there. I personally use a straight razor so I found marks and scrapes are pretty prone to this thing which I guess in the long run won't last as long as a stainless steel one will. Other things to think about is the combs one the sides may be a bit brittle and kinda pointless in my opinion also this material can be quite slippery as it comes face to face (lol) to natural face oil, shaving creme, etc.

Just trimmed my beard with this and I think it's great. Helps shape and see exactly what you're doing at the same time unlike the metal/black plastic kind. Looks sturdy, feels sturdy and does the job.PS: Let me clear this up... A reviewer gave this one star because it's not curved to conform to their face. If you seriously think any company is going to make a product specifically designed for your face then you are insane. You cant curve it because they you can't flip it and do the other side of your beard. It's perfectly straight and if you have the brains to shave you can make this work great. First time using it and I am loving it. Tired of making stupid mistakes in the morning and having to shave half my beard off. This thing works perfectly.

Good concept.. but only if you can get your eyeballs to transcend their eye sockets so as to see they side of your head. And if you can get them to do that, trimming your ear hairs would be that much easier as well. And so i just let the beard grow.. I'll just trim it when I trip over it I guess.

It is an ok product. It was a little hard to use (for me) and I could never get the lines to line up so they're all straight. I gavce it to my brother in law and he likes it more than me.

Came broken, the part for the square beard. The curved part works "OK". Guess I have to learn. You have to press it hard so it covers the curved surface you're tying to cut

The comb teeth portion breaks easily, but the guide is good. You get what you pay for. I’ll be getting a higher quality one when I can afford to.

Love this product because of the high quality plastic its made of. This has the perfect curve for my beard and this will keep me from pushing the line on my beard to far down.

Works as promised. Takes a few minutes to get used to as long as you actually read the instructions.
