Autom Saint Benedict Cross Eucharistic Host PYX

I am an EMHC at my church and one of my friends could not attend mass due to surgery. She asked if I could bring her Communion and I needed a Pyx quickly. This arrived quickly, is lovely, and very appropriate.

I buy one of these pyxes for each new lay minister I especially pick the Benedictine Pyx for nuns in the Order of St. Benedict (OSB). They are light, sturdy, and beautiful. They hold approximately 8 - 10 Eucharistic wafers. It is important for your ministers to have the tools to do the job properly and with respect for the Holy Eucharist. Top quality, great value. Always very well received and appreciated.

Beautiful. Unfortunately, the suggested burse ,”frequently purchased together” was too small.

Pyx appears well made, very nice white plastic inner compartment for hosts to reside. Design on outer top is very beautiful and intricate - very good deal for the money compared to other more expensive pyxs.

I picked this for the Benedictine shield, but what a cheap piece of work it is!It arrived in a plastic bag and cardboard box, but the back had defects - at first, I thought the spots were from the manufacturing process, or where the plating chipped off, but I couldn't tell. You could feel them, and they showed easily to the eye (see pic for the whitish areas). The emblem (shield) was placed off-center, something my mild OCD clicked on right away. The pic shows the pyx axis versus the emblem axis—just poor workmanship. And it DOES have a plastic liner, which is not technically allowed, as I am aware, but it is a bit of work to cut and pull it apart and get to the metal. Which, I doubt, is gold or silver plated or any precious metal as is preferred for containing the consecrated hosts. So, you get your $13 worth, I guess, but beware!

Nice piece. It is lined with plastic but I ripped the plastic out with ease. Looks great and holds more than most. I place 5 or 6 Hosts at a time and still have room. The only reason i have it 4* instead of 5 is because sometimes the locking latch doesn't lock and you have to fiddle with it.

You get what you pay for, so quality shouldn't be something to complain about. Yet, this is a sturdy pyx, very beautiful design.
