Don't leave in the tub
Works excellent but now I do not leave it in the tub when not in use. Last one did not last long.

With a little effort this will fit and work on the Bestway Saluspa Lay-Z-Spa Miami
My review will be atypical as I am not using an Intex model hot tub.A little background: 3 years ago I got a great deal on a Bestway (now Saluspa) Lay-Z-Spa Miami. I have run it seasonally from Mid-April to Mid-October for the last 3 years and it has performed well in the screen room that I keep it in. The only complaint I have ever had about the tub compared to other inflatable models, is the lack of appropriate lighting to help with night use. Given the fact that only much larger and expensive hot tubs had built in LED lighting, it was a sacrifice I was willing to make at the time of purchase. This season though, I started seeing some after market LED lights for relatively cheap and though this would be a way to fix the problem. The issue is that Bestway/Saluspa DO NOT currently offer add on lights for their tubs and the 3rd party manufacturers all had numerous build quality/longevity complaints and weren't really designed to be mounted to an inflatable hot tub. The one light that was the exception to this was the Intex Purespa LED, which had very positive reviews overall. At $28-$29 shipped it was more expensive than the 3rd party alternatives, and I knew it was a gamble given that it was from another manufacturer, but I figured it was still worth a try for the price. When I first got it, it was pretty evident that it was well designed and built, even has vents behind the light to ensure adequate heat vent dispersal into the tub. It does take 4AAA batteries, but they will last quite a while. When I first attempted to mount it to the heat outlet in the tub, it was too big and I figured it just wouldn't fit. A few weeks later my wife tried it and pressed it firmly against the heat outlet and twisted it a couple of times and it held in place. We even checked to make sure that the heat from the vent wasn't being blocked and it was clearly dispersing from the vents behind the light as intended and held firmly in place with the airjets running. It does a great job providing ambient light for the tub so you can see in the dark in the tub and both it's solid and rotating colors are beautiful.Once again, I am not saying this will fit all Lay-Z-Spa models, but I can confirm that with a little bit of effort it will fit the Miami model with no modifications. Just press firmly against the heat outlet and give a couple of twists and it will hold and work. *EDIT* there are ways to get these to fit pretty much any lay z spa with a little DIY effort. There is even a 3rd party vendor who sells the adapter to get them to fit the newer chem connect tubs. You can also zip tie it to the filter housing, or go the route that I did. I took a plastic holder from a 2 pack of Kid's Vitamins from Costco and put 2 zip ties through the little vents and tie it on to one end of the holder. Simply unscrew the Chem Connect and slide the other end of the holder over the heat outlet and then put the chem connect back in place over it and it holds the light in place perfectly. I have a vid of it in action on youtube.
