Il libro in questione, con termini semplici e talora spiccata simpatia, introduce il lettore al difficile mondo della ventilazione, prima con un'introduzione generale che ne spiega le basi e poi affrontando separatamente tutte le varie modalità. È sicuramente un ottimo punto di partenza per chiunque voglia iniziare a conoscere questa interessante disciplina.

Es una pequeña guia muy comprensiva para poder iniciar o ajustar el ventilador en distintos escenarios, es fcail y rapida de leer y comprender. Simplificando el uso de ventiladores para médicos residentes y no especialistas.

I'm a non native English speaker, yet this book can clearly highlight the most basic and important information about mechanical ventilation. I used vents before, I wasn't exactly well versed in them, but I always knew what I do. Still this book made a lot of things more clear. The language is pretty relaxed and easy to understand, but still scientific, unlike those thick textbooks which hide relevant information between long and pointless lines. 10/10 would recommend

I've been waiting for this book for my whole career! I'm an anaesthetist and know how to ventilate people safely for pretty much any surgery. I've always found icu ventilation to be far more complex and frankly, somewhat over my head. I'm a simple soul and like to have stuff explained as such. This book does exactly that. It makes sense and tells me what I need to know. It doesn't blind one with science and for this, I'm eternally grateful. If you're a mathematical/curve/equations type then this probably isn't what you're looking for. If you are a bit ashamed to admit that you've got many, many unanswered ventilator questions quite late in your career and you want to have a practical, clinical understanding of the whole affair then buy this now. It's easy to read, it's humble and it's been my most useful purchase in yonks.
