SCANPAN Classic Glass Lid, 24 (cm)

Perfect for my pan which did not have a lid.

Typisch Scanpan - einfach nur gut!

This lid is listed as an accessory for the Scanpan Classic 9.5" fry pan, but I bought it to go with the 9.5" fry pan from the Scanpan Professional line and it fits perfectly. The glass is solid and Pyrex branded, with three slight bumps equidistant around the circumference of the rim, to keep the edge raised a bit, allowing steam to escape. Some assembly is required as the handle is a six-piece affair of plastic, silicone and stainless steel that takes two minutes or less to put together (the instructions are on the clear plastic bag the parts come in, so be careful when opening it). I ordered this from Amazon and felt lucky that it arrived intact... the packaging did not seem terribly secure for a breakable item like this. Before I opened it I was very worried it was broken, because the parts bag was rattling around inside and hitting the glass, making an unhappy sound. Thankfully the lid was unblemished. A bit on the pricey side, but exactly what I was looking for.

I bought the 9.5" inch lid for my Le Creuset Balti Dish but it was too big. The 9.5" lid has inner lip at 9.25" and outer circle at 9.75". The Le Creuset Balti Dish requires a 9.5" outer circle to fit. In case you are also looking for a lid for your Balti Dish I hope to save you some work. Otherwise this is a good looking lid for any cast iron pot, enameled or not, due to the big comfortable black lid knob.

I bought this for my sks pan they sent the wrong size It is not as heavy as my original lid
