Wow!
So to preface this review, I've had a lot of headphones both for music and gaming. I'm not an audiophile, but I am quite particular when it comes to sound. I've had HyperX Cloud2, SteelSeries, V-Moda, Sony XM3. These headphones (open) are now my favourite for both music and gaming. Comfort: these do not clamp against your head like some have reviewed on the closed back. There's enough adjustability in the headband to get the sizing just right and stays in place nicely. I don't suffer from hot ears or sweaty head after hours of gaming, and I really don't feel like I've got anything on. You will not fatigue with these one bit. I found my HyperX to be very comfortable, but when trying these and going back to the HyperX, you can tell they're in different leagues (price wise you certainly are) Sound quality: this area is highly subjective like anything audio related it comes down to personal preference. I saw a lot of reviews saying the profile was relatively flat and lacked low end when compare to the closed. I can't comment on the closed, but I was pleasantly surprised how much low end it had when expecting such a flat profile. Both gaming and music, these things just sing. Playing FPS games I could hear footsteps and direction of enemy much clearer than HyperX. Explosions and bullets sounded amazing! Sound leakage: these are my first open back headphones. But the wife didn't complain hearing my gaming/music when played at same volume as HyperX. Not to say its not there, because it certainly is. But in a typical sized front living room, with my wife sat on the other sofa, she had to concentrate to hear anything. Happy wife, happy gamer! Music: I compared these to my Sony wh1000 XM3, which I love. I wasn't expecting much at first as the two couldn't be more different with Sony having ANC and closed back vs non-ANC and open back. But I was taken aback by how good music sounded on these. Obviously these are basically Sennheiser headphones, and so should sound very good! But it wasn't something I thought I'd appreciate quite as much as I did. The clarity, clear crisp highs and rumbling lows were welcomed, I cranked the volume up and no distortion. You could happily listen to Rap/R&B, hip hop, dance, pop, rock... they are truly versatile. Microphone: I like how you can magnetically remove the mic if you wanted. It rotates up to mute the mic automatically. From what others have fed back, my voice is clear and not too loud, with no background noise either. Though can't comment too much as not heard the results myself only feedback of others I've played with I highly recommend these headphones for either gaming or music.

Amazing
This headset is objectively amazing. The comfort, built quality and style are fantastic and feel premium. Yes, it’s a wired headset and can only be connected via 3.5mm jack but the sound is incredible (punchy and rumbling yet also detailed bass and clear highs). The mic sounds fantastic too (I sound rich and natural) and it is both flip to mute and detachable. There aren’t any controls on this headset other than the volume wheel, but what it lacks in features, it makes up for with comfort and sound quality. Highly recommend

Shorter wire than expected, Quality&Comfortable.
Bought these to replace my DT990s that had their right ear pack in. Had some trouble at first which ended up being a problem unrelated on my end, that resulted in an experience with their customer support who was about as useful as a paper bag in the rain. Had a GSX1000 arrive after these headphones arrived which I couldn't possibly not recommend if you're in it for the audio quality. The detachable mic was a splended addition, ideal for me since I have a standalone mic. The headphones are very comfortable once properly adjusted, however not as comfortable if you have glasses. Amazon asked me about Noise cancellation which these headphones don't do, as for as i know. and being the open varient would be pointless. I saw another reviewer having trouble with the sound quality, which I must assume was a bad defect or connection issue on their end since mine arrived just fine. I will note, that the 3.5mm jack these supply are 4 pole, and may have issues connecting to a 3 pole connector.

Amazing sound and comfort
I bought the open back and closed back version and the open back sound is amazing. I suffer from noise cancelling headphones building pressure in my ears and these fix that issues. Also, it is nice to hear your own voice so you don’t get that feeling as though you are underwater. I also use these for listening to music and they have a lovely balanced sound. Although they are open back, the ‘sound leakage’ I.e. what people can hear around you is actually quite minimal. I would be happy using these in a cafe or on a train at a moderate level. The mic is also one of the best I have used. Everyone comments on how clear your voice is either when gaming or making phone calls. Bang for buck, there is nothing like these headphone and it has convinced me to used wired headsets as opposed to Bluetooth which, was always my go to. Get them. You won’t be disappointed. Oh and comfort is absolutely superb.

I'd give 0 if I could.
I am actually astounded at how many people sing the praises of this headset when it is quite easily the worst headset I've ever used in my life, let alone for the ridiculous price range these apparently belong in. - The sound quality was awful, the overall volume had to be so low in order to preserve any kind of clarity which you could barely hear because it had to be so low. When raising the volume, the bass would distort so loudly the mids and trebles would get drowned out. - The build quality felt good in the hands and to look at, but immediately felt uncomfortable when wearing them. The earpads were a good shape for the ears but the material was like having 4 bricks cemented around the driver. - Despite what many sources have said, this DOES NOT work with Epos software and DOES NOT HAVE SIDETONE. Also the microphone which I had, did not sound anything like some of the microphones on reviews of this product, which did vary quite drastically video to video. (Post editing most likely) - The connections on this headset are AWFUL quality, I had to unplug and replug the wire upwards of 5 times and spin it in the fixture until finally both earcups engaged and was not missing any frequency. I honestly expected so much better for a headset in this price range from, supposedly, the gaming division of Sennheiser. I have never refunded anything in my life so fast and I really tried to like it to save the hassle of a return, but I simply feel like I have been SCAMMED.

All good!
Very good! Nice and light but solid-feeling. Had for a couple of weeks and zero problems.

Good audio and comfortable
Great quality audio and super comfortable, one thing to note is if you set it up and audio seems quiet, the wire going into the headset needs turning to a set point once fully inserted to get full quality

Just for gaming
I wanted open back headphones, more comfy, and you can still hear doorbells, the phone ringing etc. These seemed overpriced but you can't go wrong with Sennheiser or so I thought. Basically for gaming these are adequate. But if you do anything else like listen to music, watch youtube or whatever, these are surprisingly poor. Play Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror' through them and they just can't cope. The driver in these is located up and away from your ear and it makes everything sound distant. The higher the frequency, the more distant and tinny it sounds. The bass is pretty good, no complaints there but for this price you'd expect more. These don't even do 7.1 surround. (They will if you pay an extra £70 for a sound card). HyperX are offering wireless headphones with 7.1 for half this price, it's a bit bizarre. The microphone does the job but nothing amazing, and as with a lot of headphones these days they do put too much pressure on your head. I returned these and got Sennheiser's Gaming One headset instead, they're far superior.

Best headset i've ever owned.
Amazing audio quality, amazing microphone quality. Everything about this headset is great. Removable/replaceable ear pads, removable/replaceable audio cord, easily detachable/reattachable microphone. Comfortable for long (12 hour plus) use periods. My only complaint is that EPOS has discontinued it. Get it while you can.

Guter Klang, angenehmer Sitz, tolle Funktionen

Excellent Quality Wired Headset
I have had this headset for over a year and I am quite happy with it. It's not perfect but luckily I found ways to fix the only major issues I have had with it. PRO TIPS! To get the most out of this headset I have some recommendations: I found that the headset on PC was too quiet and didn't get loud enough. To fix this I found out that you can download steelseries GG software and make adjustments in sonar, even though this headset is a completely different brand. In the game tab, scroll down past the EQ and there is an option to enable "volume boost." I turned this all the way up to +12 and the headset is SIGNIFICANTLY louder. Also you can fine tune EQ and save presets with sonar to dial in the sound profile. You're welcome! The other issue I had was that the ear pads were stiff enough that they really irritated my head after a while, especially wearing glasses. Luckily this was also a relatively easy fix. I found a youtube video recommending replacement pads from Dekoni Audio. I purchased the Jerzee mesh pads and they are much softer and more comfortable than the original, which completely solved that problem. The headset does still create a bit of a pressure point at the top of my head because of the uniform shape of the headband cushion, so I wish it had a gap at the top like other headsets but it's not that bad. https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Sennheiser-Headphones-Headphone-Cushions/dp/B08DSL5KH8?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 The headset overall is great. I love that it is open back, has a nice wide soundstage and the sound just feels big and rich with detail. Sound is a bit bass heavy and sometimes can sound muddy but you can change EQ in sonar to help with that some. I find that open back creates less listening fatigue over time and I can still hear my own voice without sidetone and I can hear whats going on around me. Build quality is outstanding and comfort is really good (with the new pads at least). The design works very well to create a good fit around the head. Love the big deep ear cups and drivers. I bought this headset used from amazon for I think $70, and there were no issues. At that price this headset is an incredible deal and I recommend 100%. Retail price is definitely steep, but you wont be disappointed with build quality. I'd say $60-$120 is an ideal price and feels like excellent value.
