About the Author I grew up in North Dakota publishing fake newspapers for my relatives and recording stories on a tape player (remember those?). A few years ago I put all of my belongings into storage, quit my job and moved to New Zealand with just a passport and two suitcases. While there, I spent my time hiking, writing, reading and falling in love with my wife. Most of what I know about writing I learned from reading. I love any book that can make me laugh--particularly if it's imaginative. Laughing is also what inspired me to spend a year performing Improv Comedy in Minneapolis. I'm an avid traveler and hiker. When I'm in the mountains, I can't stop thinking about the trolls under the bridges, fairies floating in the fields and elves hiding in the trees. I've been told I have an "active imagination", but that's why I carry a notepad every place I go! I'm the co-founder of Glow Word Books and I currently live in Minnesota with my wife and son.
